Here is your new Striker. Guys, Inter just coming back from 0-1 to 3-1

Against Lazio ( number 2) and 2 assist by Lukaku . Someone will be mad again inhere 🤣🤣🤣, because I mentioned the name Lukaku.

From when he is back playing  :

hattrick against sweden  3-0 then  then against germany in dorthmund 2-3 win with Lukaku scoring 1 goal. After that at Inter:

score a goal against Juventus (p)

score against Porto

score against Benfica( p)

last 7 matches for inter : 3 goals and 4 assists .to know that Inter let Lautario coming on to play the last 30 mins only. What do he have to do to get another chance? Many big team he score against too. I think Potche will agree with me + he is free.

He is a snake … he has been extremely disrespectful towards us . We should actually sue him for how he engineered this.

Inter management said we don’t want to buy lukaku and lukaku saying he wants to stay at inter just 2 weeks back.

this is a scam and we have been mugged by inter and lukaku.

We can afford a new striker if we sell Lukaku and 1/4 of our squad, including Havertz, Auba, Sterling.

Realistically how much do you think We would get to afford a new striker.?

auba haven’t played for a year and getting older ( 5 mil maybe even free to Barca)

Havertz ( 35 mil max to Bayer if Tuchel want to get sacked quickly)

Sterling ( 25mil max maybe small pre team)

lukaku( no one want him if I have to believe the chat so 0 mil)

hmmmm who can we get for that amount???

Tammy, Davids wont go for under 80 mil ,

another young striker with no experience from Italian Serie A or Nkuku (is not a 9 and score only 1 after the Injury). We will be a team of small players : Nkuku, Mount, Enzo, Kante, Chillwel, Reece, Sterling, only 3 good headers for set pieces.

We can still use Felix as 9🙄.

We will get £30m+ for Lukaku. That will give us approx 90m.

Size of the players is immaterial, this isn't basketball. Silva is short for a CB, doesn't stop him being a master of his art.

I'd take Jamie Vardy if he becomes available. Shouldn't cost too much and still a threat off the bench. He's not had a good season but Leicester have been poor.

There's a reason he's not getting in even this Leicester team regularly, he's totally finished as a top flight player (no shame at his age).

If/when Alvarez decides he doesn't want a long term future behind Haaland I really hope we put our name in the hat.

Liquid cash is not our issue Coco. If it was down to just needing the money alone we could carry on spending as we have been, our owners are wealthy.

Issue is FFP. That's why we extended Enzos deal already, why we did all these huge contract lengths.

By the same token Rom has a remaining book value of 60mill quid, we sell him for 30 we owe that 60mill immediatly on the books, a loss of 30mill. If we keep him his book value is 20mill loss, or loan him for a 5mill loan fee, 15mill loss.

So unless we get close to that 60mill, I don't see us selling him.

Lukaku 3 yrs left, £230k pw, we save £36m in wages alone getting rid of him now, and another 8+ players, thanks to them we don't have many games next season.

My understanding, and bag of fag packet calculations.....

TLDNR - Loan is the most likely option.

Purchase price = £97m.

Contract length = 5 years

Total cost of Transfer fee per year = £19.5m ish

Salary per week = £325k

Total cost of salary per year =  £16.9m ish

TOTAL COST PER YEAR FOR FFP = £36.5m ish....

3 Years remaining on his contract

Scenarios:

1) We keep him and pay his salary. We are Liable for £36.5m on him against FFP each year.

2) We sell him for £60m. We break even against current FFP requirement and save £16.9m salary (but future salary savings are irrelevant for FFP purposes.)

3) We sell him for £30m. We are minus £30m (ish) against the current FFP period., but again save £16.9m salary (but future salary savings are still  irrelevant for FFP purposes.)

4) We sell him for £45m. We are minus £15m (ish) against the current FFP period. but again save £16.9m salary ( future salary savings are blah blah blah)

5) We loan him out for £5m loan fee per season. Loaning club covers salary. We register a £15m ish hit against FFP for the loaned season.

Obviously, option 2 is the ideal situation....but also the least likely.

From a club perspective, Option 5 is probably preferable to option 3. Although we would save future wages by selling, the short term hit on the books, at a time when the books are already tight, means that a loan with a small loan fee would be preferable to selling for the £30m mark. Realistically, we would need at least £40-45m  to make a sale viable.

Did you calculate the debilitating affect option 1 will have if we allow this poison back into our squad ? Some say he's worth a gamble, i think gambling is the last thing we need at the moment, we need a banker, not a w..

The fact some fans are willing to forgive him, forget how ineffective he was, or choose to ignore how his attitude will worsen an already mentally depleted squad, is utterly bonkers.

Havertz yes, Sterling and Lukaku will most likely have to be sold at quite a great loss related to their accounting value, thus actually giving us less money to spend on a new striker - even if we find someone to take on their full wages

Not to mention how many want Conte back despite the way he took the piss out of every supporter.

Also it's just so us that out of all the players Jose let go in his second spell we bring back the one that was objectively the correct decision in every way.

If we have less money to spend on a new striker, we might end up with a good one that would have been overlooked, like a Guddy, or a Flo. At least we wont get mugged off again if were cap in hand.

We can get an overlooked st who can play more of a supporting role. That is my preference but for benefit of whom?

For kai? For mount? For murdyk? For Sterling? For Felix?

There is where I expect our new recruitment team to uncover a hidden gem.

If not then what the f**k was the point in bringing in all these people to only decide on bloody Osihmen or Kane to be our options?

Yup, just like the picked up Santos for a cheap price, and he is looking very promising, we need the same with a striker.

Santos' maturity and presence in midfield at such a young age is astounding. Casadei is also already developing very nicely.

I want more signings like this, but at a level higher which makes them ready for first team.

If we could actually pull a trade off and we couldn't get an EPL ready player like Watkins, i wouldn't mind us getting Kolo Muani. Perhaps we could get a player plus deal going.

Whilst we are at it i would probably take his mate Kamada as well, who i think may be coming out of contrcat this summer. Maybe Pulisic and Havertz going in the other direction.

Would we be worse of had they both been starters this season (I know Santos could not because of work permit issues)?

I don't believe so, woild have been upgrades on any central midfielder we had bar Kante (who has missed basically the whole season) and Enzo perhaps too.

Broja could end up being that perfect striker that we need, let's be honest if he recovers well from his injury we're talking about a young player that has all the attributes that are needed in order to become one of the best strikers in the league.

So Broja, Santos, Casadei... We got the potential.

Apparently Balogun from Arsenal is available.  Fits the profile of young emerging talent and has looked pretty good whenever I have seen him, albeit not in the competitiveness of the EPL.
