May 21, 20242 yr This week we'll learn if he is gone or not. If the club thinks a) his style of football is outdated b) he is somehow responsible of injuries he is probably gone. From the outside looking at the conversation it would be pretty weird at this point if we decide to sack him. Players seem to like him and I think they like his brand of football. Where we are at the table is due to injuries and young squad.

Because the next one they get for the job will have to hit the ground running or they will look like complete idiots once again. Really unsure what the problem is behind the scenes but something is going on between them. I personally think they had someone lined up after the Arsenal game and were surprised at the turnaround.

Fully agree if they sack him and bring someone else in they will not get the same treatment as Poch for the first year especially from the media who loves him. Any new manager will have to deliver results immediately.
May 21, 20242 yr The main issue is that whoever comes in is very likely to be a downgrade on Poch. I don’t see many upgrades. Makes little sense to remove him. That said, Poch seems unhappy or frustrated so it wouldn’t surprise me if he left. The 2 year deal always surprised me and didn’t seem to show much faith considering we gave Potter a 5 year deal. All the talk of a “long term” manager seems to have disappeared. Wonder if the owners have wised up and realised it rarely exists in football.
May 21, 20242 yr Mauricio Pochettino will consider quitting #Chelsea if he is not given a greater say in the club’s transfer policy. [via @alex_crook] I bet this is what the rift is about.
May 21, 20242 yr If Pochettino leaves we're essentially back to square one again. We'd be mad to let him go just as we start to see some progress on the pitch.

Well, Potter got 5 year deal, barely lasted 6 months, so the length of the contract doesn't mean much, apart from the pay off ( which is money we could save ). I wouldn't be surprised if he goes this week, ideally the boss give him a new contract as a little reward and drama free. But this is Chelsea under new ownership, dramas seem to follow. RDZ said no offers so far, but my guess is he wouldn't be leaving like that without some kind of non-official offer.

This ownership want a yes man and good on him if he's not going to fall in line.
May 21, 20242 yr Some rumours that a club has paid RDZ’s release clause but it’s being kept at “maximum confidentiality”. My guess would be that it’s united as they have a cup final.

Quote He’s free to moan about transfers, but at the end of the day Blooms system has given us Mitoma, Caicedo, Mac Allister, Van Hecke etc etc. When we gave De Zerbi more say on transfers he signed - Mahmoud Dahoud who was loaned out after he fell out with De Zerbi. - Ansu Fati who has done absolutely f*ck all. - Igor who is… okay? If we’re being nice.

Hmm Baleba is very good (not suited for circuit ball) and I take Joao pedro for Chelsea I am pretty sure Igor was signed because he is left footed and probably De Zerbi need his lcb to be able to make certain pass to play his circuit Edited May 21, 20242 yr by Bob stark

They are in a rebuild mode and have some young players coming through, it will be a disaster as Tuchel is someone you bring in to win not nurture talents .
May 21, 20242 yr Mauricio Pochettino could become a candidate for Bayern Munich! Chelsea decision day is today or tomorrow. (@Plettigoal @mmarcelandreas) #CFC
May 21, 20242 yr Chelsea want a head coach who will feed into the conversation around potential signings and sales without seeking to dictate strategy or make demands, and commit to working with the talent assembled by the recruitment team. (@SJohnsonSport) #CFC Basically a “yes” man.

You don't want a manager directing control. Then you'll have ten Hag and United where 99% of his signings have been duds and they are stuck with them. Edited May 21, 20242 yr by Sconnie Blue
May 21, 20242 yr Am i the only one thinking any manager would be looking at this Chelsea squad from the end of this season, seeing all the players coming back to full fitness and licking his lips. Reece James post-surgery. Enzo post-surgery. Chukwuemeka and Nkunku off the death bed. Question marks on Fofana but if he's fit we've got a squad capable of finishing top 4 next season quite comfortably and that is all i would imagine is expected. following season you have Estevao and Paez joining up too.
May 21, 20242 yr These 🤡 are do stupid all we need to stability for a few seasons, Poch is not the end goal he’s the foundation builder. How can you build a foundation if you keep changing the foreman every season. Absolute bellends from top to bottom!!!

Of course what these clowns haven't yet worked out, unless there are bumper payouts offered managers may well not want to work with these bunch of c**ts as owners. Look at Bayern. Their hierarchy has been properly rumbled now as they are left with approaching the relegated Vincent Kompany
May 21, 20242 yr He's gone I can't cope we're going into their third season with a 3rd different coach. What stability and now we're going for a "young coach". Say what you want about Poch, I still think there was more to the work he had done mistakes we're made but finishing 6th with the injuries was surely enough to see the start of the season...
