Just a bang average manager well out of his depth. How many times over would Pochettino have been sacked under Abramovich.

How many of these donkeys would have been signed under Roman?

I’m 100% in camp sack now, too many managerial mistakes and the worst part is he never learns.  Although I do still believe any manager will struggle a little as we have bought some really poor players. Should probably be sitting around 6th with this squad, lower than that and it’s on Poch.

Seems the match going fans are turning. Must admit, I’m a Poch fan but even I’m struggling. Everything is just so unconvincing.

However, what I am not sure about and hence why I am unsure whether sacking Poch will achieve anything:

1. I don’t think the quality of the players is good enough

2. What will this team look like with a near full strength?

3. We’ve had 3 managers (Potter, Frank and Poch) mostly use these players and none of them have got a tune out of them.

4. Which elite manager is going to choose us before Liverpool, Bayern, Barca and others? We look like a basket case of a club at the minute.

I think a cup final and a semi final is decent. League is disappointing but we’ve had so many injuries and Poch has been unable to rotate.

Things are slightly better under Pochettino, but clearly not enough progress for most people, despite all the mitigating circumstances

With all the late goals recently, at least it shows the players haven't given up on the manager yet, even if most of the fans have ... :-)

De Zerbi got battered again three-nil today, so I guess we go for him, right ?

Are you certain? Take Leon Bailey for example; Villa under Gerrard  paid £27m for him from Leverkusen 2 seasons ago, he was highly rated but couldn’t hack it. Had 1 goal & 2 assists. Emery takes over and his output jumps to 4 league goals & 4 assists. This season he has quietly been one of the best wingers in the league, and currently has 8 goals & 8 assists. Same applies to Douglas Luiz; looked like an average midfielder pre-Emery, output presently stands at 9 goals & 5 assists this season.
We need to get it right when Poch is replaced.

You're really gonna include Tuchel's last 7 games as a comparison?

Also I think Poch's record is being skewed quite heavily by cup wins against Championship sides here

Potter is still the worst manager in history. Ruined the squad and we still haven't recovered.

This is "BlueCo" era data Drogba1 ... so 7 Tuchel games it is ... would have been great if he'd had more but hey ho ...

At least we've started scoring goals again !

A recovery of sorts in itself, especially given the quality of the forward line this season ...

Baby steps and all that :-)

Emery is undeniably a top drawer manager, but some of that improvement in Bailey and Luiz could equally be down to having 2 additional years of learning how to play in the PL, acclimatising to the intensity etc, plus an additional two years of experience and maturity. Bailey now 26 and Luiz 25, so entering their peak performance years as players now. It does make a significant difference ! We saw similar in Nkunku's record in Bundesliga at similar age. All of a sudden he just kicked on to a higher level. He always had the talent.

I will be surprised if Poch is shown the door before the end of the season, unless the owners already have the permanent replacement lined up. Supposedly the payoff is less at the end of the season based on the agreed targets, and they saw last season that an interim may even lead to worse results. Who do people think we will realistically bring in next though? It will have to be somebody who is prepared to work with the Directors etc., and probably with limited incomings (if any) to the squad, if the FFP speculation is correct.

I really hope owners don't listen to fans. Sorry fans.

I think it’s their pocket that they will listen to more than the fans. I am sure no CL will burn a big hole into their pocket and soon enough they will understand that North American sports is not = to English Premier League football.

A decent CL run is £100m+ per season in the coffers.

I think the only way they absorb multiple hits on that is via the purported new wage structure. Sadly, even now after all that work, most of our remaining top earners are either permanently injured or very poor value for their pay ...

As they have said f**k all about what is a success, what needs to be done financially we just basically have to guess.

Pochettino on paper was an appointment that might have happened under Roman, but he would have been gone already. At the time there really wasn't any outstanding candidates barring Poch, this time around there's Amorim, De Zerbi, Alonso, Nagelsmann and Jose.

Actually I think he would have hired either Nagelsmann or Enrique. But Actually he wouldn’t have hired Potter.

There are no mitigating circumstances to go 3 at the back against this Brentford when we haven’t played it for months. The away fans were fuming (obviously myself included) and rightly so. He’s lost the plot and I just can’t understand how anyone would go and defend him after this week we’ve had. All around me today we’re just wondering what the f**k was Pochettino thinking with the game plan and where the f**k was he when they were scoring and dominating us on that second half.
