What happens WHEN they realise he is not the player they thought, we sent sancho back and paid 5m? How much will they pay us to take him back?

Gnabry was really sh*t when he was in the Premier League. He moved to the Bundesliga and he became a top player, he's fell off again in recent times, but he had a really good run of form for a few years. I think Jackson will do well enough over there to make this a permanent transfer.

We:re gonna pay THEM to keep him !

I've a sneaking suspision that next summer £56 mill' will be a steal.

We're taking a gamble but I'm not sure it's a huge one. There's too much in his game to improve for him to be a megastar and him merely turning into a decent striker would only add another 20mil, an amount he could easily drop in value by if he had another questionable season.

If he was as good as he thinks he is, he’d have stayed to fight for his place. German league will allow him to look better than he is and I think he knows it. May well score a hatful of goals. Will miss plenty too. Good luck to him, shame he didn’t end his time well, and will be remembered for the penalty-taking nonsense and the two red cards just as much for his goals and misses.

“We thank Nico for his efforts throughout his time at Stamford Bridge and wish him well in Germany.“ #CFC

Ouch. That seals that he is gone for good, and a “good riddance” tone from us.

More inside.

I don't feel that confident that this will be an obligation, it's confirmed he needs to hit a certain amount of apps for it to get triggered and I imagine he will be at AFCON as well.

However I do hope it goes well for him, historically playing upfront for us is one of the most difficult positons and for his age/money we spent on him he did well.

Reminds me of Atletico benching Griezmann and limiting his minutes during a key run-in. Griezmann was one of their best players but they limited his minutes when they realised they could get him for well below the agreed buyout clause.

Where have you seen this aside from BILD and the ones quoting BILD? All the major journos and the ones who have ties to Chelsea have not said this, theyve called it a mandatory buy. Just curious because you sound confident this is the case, and I’d like to see this too.

Ben Jacobs tweeted it out.

I’m not his biggest fan as he spews out a lot of false news, but thank you for providing that.

Jackson will be in the Bayern team sheet majority of games anyway, so no worries there at all from me.

We became world champs, european champs and made CL with this finishing… we’ll be alright.

Mudryk, Sterling and Chilwell would still have had a career here if Jackson could finish

BBC also reporting that the obligation is subject to a minimum number of appearances.

I expect the actual number required will come out in due course ...

Although Jackson may do better in the German league, I'm pleased the obligation to buy is not subject to minimum number of goals scored.
