A number of us have been telling you time and again that continuing to select him would cost us, that he is a liability, and that eventually we would really suffer due to his inability and stupidness....and yet you still advocated for him.

If Chelsea don't win today, given they have to play an hour now with 10 men, knowing how important the game is, to let the team and the fans down in that way it is a disgrace and unacceptable.

His last act of the league season is to get a red card. I can't even act surprised. It's the most Nicolas Jackson thing that could have happened.

He's been bad again. I don't know if it's pity or what from some of us in the fanbase and maybe even the management because of his medical situation, and how it's basically a miracle he's made it this far into professional football, but he seems to still keep getting picked.

I mean, its all to do with mindset. My position is well known - I genuinely think he is the worst player to have played for Chelsea for the last 20 years. Given that position, I don't know how he competes with anyone. Any kid from the academy would be a better option.

But Maresca loves him - and given he has declared him a dream striker, there is an argument that Maresca would still select him even if we had prime drogba to compete.

You, me, DKW, Just, Nibs, Axman, Boehly babes, Whitewall, Jangz, Caps lock, Big blue - and I am sure others, have regularly be warning against the risks of continuing to select him. It was always likely to cost us big time at some point....today was that day.

The trite "he is our best striker" arguments we heard were always shallow and not in keeping with the evidence we have seen on the pitch. You don't have to be a student of the game to see that he is a useless and braindead footballer.

Anyway. Still 30 mins left of the game - lets hope the 10 men left can dig us out of a Donkey shaped hole.

John Terry, Gary Cahill, Marcos Alonso, Branislav Ivanovic, all defenders, all better strikers than Jackson.

Defended him time and time, and criticized when due. But today crossed a line. Not good enough technically, and mentally let the team down massively.

Should be second choice at best, but if we get two strikers and he’s sold I’d be good with that.

It's not really a straw man - the argument he's responding to is 'a player of Chelsea's standards can't get stupid red cards in big games' (which is a fair point).

Not made a dime off of him….but between the 3 of us who participated, I think we raised £100ish for @Mod retirement fund/shed end running costs. I will settle up once confirmed he is suspended and not appealing.

I hope that all goes on new servers, so we can post even more about how Jackson is the worst.

The criticism and name calling gets over the top with Jackson let me start there first.

I have defended him a lot but I think today is the final straw. I hope he’s successful in his future endeavours just not at CFC.

If he’s not shipped out in the summer then you know we lack any ambition to win trophies.
