Nicolas Jackson - striker

All true, but the bold.

Jackson being toxic would indicate it had an affect the players. The players reacted to Jackson's stupidity by finishing in the Top 4 amidst having the hardest run in, and spanked the best team in the world to become world champions.

As far as we know, Jackson wants to stay and fight for his place. The club also don't want to sell unless a wild offer comes in. Also pretty sure the genuine consensus 90% of the fanbase a few months ago was that Jackson is a good player just not one that should be starting. He's now third choice, the pressure now off of him, which in theory could have him perform better.

If Jackson had started, do you think we would have won the world cup final?

these are your posts right? You should probably be more concerned with the continuous libel and veiled threats you post of wishing harm or wanting to do harm to a Chelsea player on a public forum. Most people have limits, clearly you dont. May I suggest you post this type of bile to X or use you're other sock accounts to support your hatred?

Im a mid aged dude, been online and enjoying forums of all sorts for years, I dont use X because it is a cesspit, but in my time using them, Ive never seen a "fan" call for harm like you do.

Just going to leave you sit in your own sh*t if that's ok. Hope you stop being such a miserable, nasty, vile c**t and find some joy in your life. Good luck searching for it.

They are desperate, been turned down by almost every single first and second choice targets.

They offered 90mill euros for Sesko and looks set to get around140 mill for isak.

Minimum be getting at least 80mill all in.

They are desperate but have options; even lots of them. Jackson even though a decent forward hasn’t shown that he can lead the line for a top club. With Sesko & Etikite a large chunk of their value is on the “unknown”. It could go either way. No club is paying £80m for Jackson.

Newcastle have options; Wissa is on strike and valued at £40m, they could pay £60m for Watkins. Those two are more of a sure bet than Jackson. They are currently negotiating for Woltemade who is valued at €55m. Scraping the barrel; they could loan either Ramos from PSG, or Vlhaovic from Juve with an option to buy, and Boniface at Leverkusen is available. I can guarantee you they will explore those options before Jackson, and even then wouldn’t pay £80m.

If the Emegha reports are true, we want 3 strikers in the team regardless.

Unless a club offers something mad I'd be keeping Jackson until next season at the earliest.

They are not buying Emegha as a squad player, it’s the same bizarre Sarr transfer where they are buying him just so it reads “contracted to Chelsea” on the paperwork, but they will loan him straight back to Strasbourg. The belief is if they buy him now for €30m they won’t fall foul of UEFA as per connected parties fair value transactions, and he might be worth €50m next season.

I'm with the minority who thinks Jackson isn't a useless player; he's got obvious strengths as well as weaknesses, and I do agree his mentality hasn't been good enough. It's unfair to put him and Nkunku in the same group IMO.

The "selfish" label is an interesting one; he can indeed be selfish by not going for the obvious pass, but he actually works very hard when playing a high D and chasing the opposition players, often regaining possession or at least blocking their build up.

No, he's not a great finisher, but 30-goals-a-season strikers seem to be a thing of the past, with very few exceptions; we hope Joao Pedro to be one of course. Still, Jackson's fairly skillful in tight spaces, and very quick, and I reckon his game does benefit the team, which is really the only thing I care about (care not about individual stats one bit).

Finally, he's 24 now. On one hand, he should be playing better; on the other hand, he still has plenty of room for improvement, especially with his finishing. So, I hope he doesn't go to United or Arsenal.

Hmm, let's see who they end up with, and how much they spend.

For whatever reason Newcastle are having a miserable time making signings. I would not be surprised if they agree to sign nico with us only for him to turn them down.

Given the way the players played and Maresca’s tactics, yes.

I don't know. I wouldn't have trusted Jackson to make the run to open up space for Palmer's second goal and I don't think he would have scored the 3rd at all. He would have hit it at Donnarumma or found a way to hit it wide.

What's it like to be so loved Jim?

Asking for a friend....

A badge of pride....Someone dares to give a critical comment about a below average footballer, and suddenly it’s open season. The cartel come charging in like I’ve cancelled Christmas — all quoting each other, back-slapping, foaming with rage because someone dared suggest their guy might not be Pele reincarnated.

It’s kind of sweet really. They move as a unit — like synchronised swimmers, but angry and online. If they hadn’t been so dramatic about it all, I probably would’ve let it go by now. But they’ve fair play to them - they give me strength...bless!

I love their little acts of performance art....

You still love me though… right?

Yes.

Jackson biggest problem is against team who play conservative football. Against team who play super high pressing and space galore, Jackson is great.

Some things are great....

– The Beatles
– The invention of electricity
– A Wall in China
– Zidane’s first touch
– The Simpsons (seasons 3–9 only)
– A 99 Flake on a summer’s day
– Sean Connery as Bond
– Chelsea’s 2004 midfield: Lampard, Makélélé, and Essien waiting to snap someone
– Ian Dowie’s “bouncebackability”
– A cold beer that appears just when you need it
– A Free upgrade to Business class that you weren’t expecting

Unfortunately Bob.... Nicolas Jackson is not, and has never been, on this list. Great is simply not a word that can be used in good faith to describe the useless C.

The Great Nicolas Jackson. Dear me.

Nearly as big a misnomer as Great Britain.

No one has ever claimed he's Pele reincarnated.

I'm half hoping that the reason Jackson won't get sold this summer is because all the clubs doing due diligence on him come across this thread, and it puts them off !

How ironic would that be, that the person who most wants him sold is directly responsible for not getting what he wants and will have to endure Nico at CFC for at least another year ! What a delicious case of schadenfreude that would make LOL
