This seems very risky to be honest, 37 million for a player with a couple months of good form.

Bit like the Mudryk deal (who had less than 1000 senior minutes), they're not proven at all.

I would've preferred we just stuck Nkunku up front and went for Maddison/MacAllister as a #10 instead

Seriously don't understand the signing.

5 goals in 25 games for Villareal B last season. 1 in 16 for Mirandes at level 2 the year before.

We are paying a lot for one purple patch. I think Broja is better and Fofana is prob about the same level so why do we need him?

Attempt at unearthing a hidden gem?

Drogba was a late bloomer and prior to his signing season in France he was hardly prolific.

I'd rather go down this route than spend 70 plus on the likes of the Moratas and Lukaku type we have failed at for years now.

Has very young, projectory is on the up and has talent.

Get behind him

That's fine but we've already gone down the project route with Datro Fofana and we already have Broja around the same age.
For me not the profile we need right now.

What profile do we need? We tried the tried and tested expensive strikers who have all flopped.

Let's hear your master plan

I’m interested in hearing who this mythical ST is that is supposed to save our season. Given the constant complaints you’d think there was a nailed on answer that wasn’t a 100m+ striker destined to flop.

Jackson has a good profile capable of playing at ST or as a wide forward.

Clearly see something there - welcome to the club!

Food for thought - Jackson and Kendry Paez share the same agent as Moises Caicedo.

If we were going down the young and unproven path we could go into the season with Broja & Fofana and wait for a better market for strikers.

His strength on the ball is impressive as is his hold up play, we have badly missed that. He links up well with the attackers and can finish.

I'm very excited for this one tbh

Makes laugh, for years we've criticised the lack of hidden gems we uncover in the transfer market, now we're investing and attempting to do that some of you lot think it's too risky?

Anyway, happy to have him on board but I still think we'll end up signing a big name striker

It’s a lot of money for a very unproven player. I hope the club have done their scouting. We seem to be paying big money for players that have played very few minutes.

The fee is fairly low considering. In the 30's. He's played plenty

i like how he seems to have a picture in his head where everyone around him is situated before even receiving the ball

Well said - he does seem to find time when receiving/on the ball, which is a bit of a rare gift.  Actually pretty excited, and can see why the club was comfortable moving on Kai (contract, offer and performances in role we had him) if we knew Jackson was coming in.

He'll be raw and PL is always a tough adjustment, but let's see what he has!

 James Badiashile Colwill Chilwell

               Enzo Caicedo
Madueke      Nkunku      Mudryk

                    Jackson

If he's an improvement over Aubameyang that's progress.

Youre an improvement over that lazy sod, it's a low bar.....

I don't get why people are complaining over this kind of signing still, it's obviously the owners plan to pick up young up and coming players relatively cheap, rather than always go head to head with the richer clubs for the same players, which the same people also complained about.

Just wondering with these younger strikers, if we passed Fofana on to Strasbourg for a season, would Roberto Firmino as a free be a good experienced addition. The Liverpool link still gives me hives but as a free agent, if his salary isn't too much of an obstacle, perhaps this could be a good older head to have around. He's a fairly young 31.
