It's a shame we didn't qualify for the conference league, usually I wouldn't want to be in it but with all the young players we've got would have been quite a good route for first team exposure for a few of them.

Night and day difference in attitude, tactical structure, fitness, and quality when compared to the first match of last preseason. 
 

 

Enjoyable first pre-season game for Pochettino! I know its just preseason but traditionally, we usually do well in the league when we have a good pre-season so hopefully, we keep this up and build some of that form into the game against Liverpool

Jackson, Casadei, Gusto and Maatsen stood out for me 

Wow that Caceido, looked good, in fact all the kids are comfortable on the ball, good to see Chilly getting minutes and Hall, Nkunku looks the business

Very good from us apart from some phases of 2nd half. 

Very exciting to see players like Jackson, Nkunku, Casadei and Santos. Who all played very well. 

Casadei especially looks someone who is going to be a star. Still raw but he has the end game. Assisted perfectly Nkunku's goal as well.

The players who remember last season primarily by taking part in it looked the worst; Cucu, Sterling and Gallagher. Gallagher was okay but I don't understand what he brings to the team playing deep. Nothing really...

Malo Gusto looks good as well going forward. Untested as a defender here but looks really composed. 

Jackson's pace really impressed. We will be a very quick side with him and Mudryk especially.

Maatsen played excellently twice with Jackson and got 2 goals. Very well taken both of them.

Gabriel looks worth the hype. Great vision. That cross for sterling's header should have been another assist too.

 

Those goals will give us confidence, even if we should spank a side like Wrexham every day of the week. 

Plenty to be happy about compared to last season, and now most of the dead wood has been sold this new Chelsea side will hopefully bond well in to a team of winners. 

I wonder if Pochettino is looking from within for the backup to Kepa this season.

I feel Cumming could potentially play that role, he was one of the best keepers in league one despite MK Dons going down.

Nkunku has to play with Jackson Saturday night. 

I told you guys, Andrey Santos will become one of the best in his position, a very good Andrey's match

Santos was a bit of a metronome in the middle - technically very good, positionally astute, and plays beyond his years. Stronger opposition will come, but can’t wait to see him rise to it. 

Casadei - screams no.8 to me. He can dominate the opposition. 

Maatsan - what’s not to like. Reminded me of a young Ashley Cole 

Jackson - handled himself very well. Technically very good, times his jumps well, has pace. Exciting

Nkunku - one word, talent. 

Gusto and Angelo show promise. Shout out to Chalobah also - captain and played like one  

Have my doubts about Sterling and Gallagher, but early days. To me, Santos and Casadei see things Gallagher doesn’t see at all or sees too late, let alone execute  

Fully appreciate it was against Wrexham, but there was a nice discipline and work ethic.
