No fault on the Salah disallowed goal, is Salah. True on the Salah disallowed goal, although did you see his attempt at spreading himself for it. If that is his approach one v one he will need to be very lucky not to get beat every time. Also far , far too slow with the ball at his feet inviting pressure. First game though.

August 14, 20232 yr I was nervous every single time he had the ball at his feet. Felt he held on to it too long so there was almost always a Pool player breathing down his neck by the time he released it. Also felt he could have done better for both of Liverpools goals and then there was the major mistake at the end as well. Hopefully he gets better.
August 14, 20232 yr Like I said, his passing is 'good enough'. Nothing great. I was very impressed with the way he commanded his box. Felt assured on almost every corner and cross that came in. The one where I think Diaz/Jota crossed it and he came towering over the entire defence and grabbed it. No way Kepa does that.

I also felt like the two or three shots they had that they missed, he got significantly closer to than Kepa would have.

Slonina looked out of his depth in his start in the friendly v Fulham. Needs experience but whether the Belgian club was the right destination is another matter. Eupen are genuine strugglers in the Pro League. Goal difference of -35 last season. At least he will be busy.

August 18, 20232 yr People blaming him for the first goal? Really? No keeper in the world saves that. Has anyone actually played a game of football before or what? Unbelievable.
August 20, 20232 yr 7 shots = 4 goals. Didnt want him, and so far there is nothing that suggest to me he is anything better than a number 2 for a top side. Wonder if we revisit Diogo Costa now Kepa has gone? Probably a tougher deal to do now since they just Otavia to Saudi for big money.

Doesn’t matter who we put between the sticks A everything just goes in.

August 21, 20232 yr Thought he’s done quite well in his two games to be honest barring the one giveaway against Liverpool. Made a couple decent saves yesterday and don’t think he could of stopped any goal.

He made a great save near the end with his feet to stop it being 4 as well. It was an ok performance, nothing special but certainly not bad.
August 21, 20232 yr Steady keeper, probably about on par with what we had in Kepa. Get through the season and get an actual number one ready to be bought next year.
August 21, 20232 yr Still don't understand why we got rid of Mendy. f**k was wrong with him? We didn't need to spend more money on keepers.

August 31, 20232 yr Can someone explain why that was a penalty for Wimbledon last night? Watching the highlights and he clearly punches the ball and their player just goes down. Are keepers not even supposed to challenge for balls anymore?

Think it’s a reaction to the incompetence that happened to Wolves against United. They have gone the other way too far now.

Sanchez obviously punched the ball. How on earth did it ricochet away so far if he didn't? He did make contact with the player but after he'd punched the ball away. The player milked it. Ref fell for it.
