Why if he's not good enough for arse then what the fek are we looking at him for ?

Are we? If you were to believe every snippet of twattereati gossip we are pursuing anything and everything with two legs and a pulse.

They were prepared to sell Saliba last summer so i wouldn't use Arsenal being willing to sell him as a red flag.

That being said, would be total overkill for us to sign him so hopefully nothing comes out of it.

Arsenal would like him to extend his contract, but he doesn't want to. He has 2 years left and he isn't going to start over Jesus, so Arsenal would rather sell him as much as they can before it gets to another year with one year left and his asking price reduces. He believes he is good enough to be a regular starter so he is looking for a move. He won't be a regular starter at us either but would be a decent sub, but if he is seeking regular first team football, he is best of looking elsewhere.

In what way is this an experienced signing? I'm all for young players, but there comes a point when we need experience. So far we have very little experience, especially up top. I'd rather keep Lukaku and save money. No idea who this kid is and why we would want him for £50m+ to sit on the bench.

We aren't looking for an experienced signing though

Not a bad mission for life tbh.

Been failing miserably thus far truth be told.

An Arsenal fan I work with told me a few weeks ago (I think we were loosely linked with him then) that he is a superb talent, but full of himself and thinks he should be starting for the best sides. So won’t sign a new deal and hasn’t impressed anyone with his attitude.

Watching this City team is a bit like watching the Barca team from about 15 years ago. So f**king boring. Great team yes, but couldn’t watch a full game without falling asleep.

Wrong thread. 🍷🍷🤦

In terms of bringing in a striker, I'm surprised Jonathan David's name has came up. Scored more than Balogun and Wahi in ligue1 last season, and actually has a good record all through his career. Only 23 too. Just doesnt seem to be fancied by anyone. Admittedly I wasnt too impressed when I saw him at the world cup, or when we have came across him in the champions league, but he clearly knows where the net is.

Sounds like exactly the sort of player we need to be signing.. but being 'merican, and as demonstrated by our owners, they aint got a clue. Half expect NFL posts to appear this season on our pitch.

The only two forwards we should be looking at are Ivan Toney or Victor Osimhen.

I think ivan toney is very much on our radar, but his suspension didnt help matters.

Looks pretty clear based on our targets that we are not going for a number 9 style striker but a support striker to cover while Nkunku is out. So I highly doubt Toney or Osimhen are on the list.

must be running out of money soon. Wish we'd saved the Lavia money for guys up front, good as lava no doubt will be.

Might have been more prudent to save the Caicedo money and got 2 better options up top.

So do I, I even point it out to our players.

Didn't his name come up in the forum earlier in too? Mixed responses, if I remember correctly. I, as usual, have no idea who he is.

Don't really see what the scouting department can see with Balogun. Hope we dont give Arsenal £40m+ for him. Better options out there imo, even just stick with Broja, and see what the Toney situation is like in January.
