May 5May 5 Anyone could miss a penalty, and despite the season he's having, he's still among the top 3 players we got. Didn't he just get an extension, doubt he will leave anytime soon, unless huge money is coming in.

May 5May 5 Lukewarm Palmer had been trash for 18 months. Starting to look like that early period was the exception.
May 6May 6 Happy Birthday Cole Palmer - 24 today.Have watched a few clips of some of his early games for us. Easy to forget just what a talent this lad is on his day. Let's hope he can rediscover that pretty damn soon.
May 17May 17 He literally is a shadow off himself. He shows neat turns here and there but is no way near a threat to the opposition anymore. It has got to a point now that where we have big games, I see him more as a player to make up the numbers than make an actual difference. Even in games where we were very defensive in past, Hazard would still provide a very genuine threat when he got the ball. Palmer, does not have the physical prowess, pace or dribbling ability to make the same impact.

See what player turns up after the summer with a view to moving on in January if he is still floundering.
May 17May 17 I have a hunch that working with somebody with Alonso's playing experience and reputation might be the inspiration Palmer needs to finally return to something close to his best.Linkedin Liam was about as inspiring as a damp dishcloth.

Even his numbers this season are funny, 4 or 5 of his 9 PL goals are pens. 1 assist all season long is wild.

Alonso is another system manager albeit more exciting and im not sure Cole palmer fits a system. He's a footballer and plays on instinct. Will be interesting to see how he gets on under Alonso, but fingers crossed he finds his big form.

It’s probably why Pep didn’t give him more minutes at City.Alonso‘s management of Wirtz at Leverkusen make me think he’ll be able to get Palmer back to the lad we signed. Here’s hoping.

Foden is a prime example. However I hope he isn’t called for the World Cup squad so we can discount that “no rest” theory next season.

For selfish reasons and reasons that I feel could do them good. Some of our players have an ego that is unearned, they think they are already at elite levels. They need to be humbled and to feel hurt, I don't think they are feeling it enough right now. Missing out on the world cup could be the best thing that happened to them. React in a way that forces them to never leave you out again, or they can sulk and show us their true character. Neto getting a call up must be one of the most unearned call ups in World Cup history.

Just as Grealish was.
May 20May 20 I'm curious to know how many attackers does England usually bring and if there are any inform players at the moment ahead of Palmer. Palmer and Pedro coming into next season with a chip on their shoulder, and actually under a competent manager, would be incredible. Not to mention if they are playing in the league only.
May 21May 21 BREAKING: Colwill not selected for the World Cup Squad and Palmer also set to miss out. @BenJacobs
