September 17, 20232 yr Looking for some positives out of a poor game, we didn't lose against a team who we have slipped up against several times in recent memory, we kept a clean sheet, and Palmer once again looked decent when he came on.

Ange hasn’t done anything dramatic to transform Spurs, it’s just get it up the pitch as quickly as possible. With us we keep passing it around aimlessly. You bet we are top of the possession stats. Mitoma started. Estupinan did not - neither did March, Ferguson or Gilmour. Six changes on all from the side that thrashed Newcastle to the side that thrashed United.

Enzo continued his great run of goals and assists, as well.

September 17, 20232 yr Speaks volumes that the likes of Chris Wood or Keiffer Moore could improve this team. Edited September 17, 20232 yr by the special one

Unlike the last game we did not lose against a fellow relegation rival.

Not so much as 'Brighton's third choice GK' s a GK who wasn't comfortable with the new regime at Brighton ............. not so much de Zerbi, maybe, but certainly with de Zerbi's GK coach. On th other hand, Ben Roberts had been his mentor from an early age - and now he's back with Roberts at Chelsea. He is actually a very good goalkeeper - probably most will recognose that thhey actually got a pretty good GK at a very good price. He's not even that bad with his feet ................
September 17, 20232 yr Sending Andre Santos out on loan looks like a big mistake right now. We sure could use him.

Brighton have been fortunate with very few long term injuries. Meanwhile we can't keep a settled team because key player after key player gets injured. It does help to have that confidence and momentum. Newcastle had it last season, but this season they have it a little less so. Very few long term injuries? Lamptey out for most of last season, Webster out for half of it, Moder out for all of last season and no sign of getting back in the near future, Enciso out for a large part of this season, Mwepu out never to play again ............................ teams have players out injured. Just how it is........
September 17, 20232 yr Year after year, manager after manager, million after million we continue these totally shameful performances.

Yup, UK government saw a chance to score points with the public taking down an unpopular successful club.
September 17, 20232 yr A good point against our peers. 4 points above the relegation zone, and although two of the the current bottom three have games in hand, we have crucial points on the board.
September 17, 20232 yr The whole Roman argument is ridiculous. We have spent more in 12 months than he did in twelve years. It’s nobody’s fault outside the club. We absolutely wasted an atrocious amount of money on players that are not now and never will be good enough to win things or even nearly win things. End of. We’ve got less chance of winning another title than Russel Brand has of winning Strictly Come Dancing. Edited September 17, 20232 yr by Snedger
September 17, 20232 yr Does anyone agree with Pochettino and Disasi after the game when they said we deserved to win? Why? Cause Gallagher missed 2 sitters, Jackson hit the post, Sterling the bar and Colwill was not professional enough to stay onside for the tap in? That is on us. Our keeper was man of the match, so how exactly did that display merit a win. A draw was a fair result.

So he used Gallagher again as No 10, Sterling played and Noni was not involved. We saw what happened today.

September 17, 20232 yr I dare the Chelsea social media pages to post more clips of the players scoring in training.
September 17, 20232 yr I dont think i am being sensationalist in saying that we are sleep walking our way towards a relegation battle this season. Mistake after mistake is made by our out of touch owners and selling senior players to buy a youth team is sheer madness. Loaning santos to forest when hes more advanced in his play than ugochukwu is sheer madness. And just imagine if the gallacher sale had gone through, which they were fully happy to do. We are already pretty screwed and they were 1 step from making it far worse. No confidence in the owners id be happy to see big protests against them. Edited September 17, 20232 yr by ALTE
September 17, 20232 yr The ball is absolutely refusing to go into the net for us right now, how the hell did that Sterling Free Kick bounced out, and a really poor attempt run to be offside right after. As usual, we were a yard short when comes to meet the ball for a clean strike, and players are afraid of taking a shot. When was the last time you see a team passing the ball around 20 yards from the box when chasing a late goal? Another mystery is despite spending so much, we couldn't even field a full team on game day, let's not blame it on some bad luck, there has to be something seriously wrong there. Sanchez was on his game, could have easily been a 1:0, and we wouldn't have much complains about it. Poch tried a back 4, looked a bit more direct, and after a while it's the same pass it around and hope the other team slips up. Mudryk finally got a start, what we offered on the field was bare minimum. I don't care how long he has on his contract, time is running out for him soon, would any clubs pay 30M for him right now?
September 17, 20232 yr If you didn’t follow football and we’re told there was a midfielder out there today who cost over £100m, I guess you wouldn’t pick Enzo … if you were then told he was playing for Chelsea - you still wouldn’t!!
