Enzo was poor but he gets a pass because he's one of the few Young talents we've signed. We know there's a player there. sh*te like Mudryk, Madueke, Disasi etc will never be good enough they're just not top talents so we cling to Enzo because he's all we've got. Even Brighton are getting wins while playing good football. You can't tell me the team that put 3 past Utd yesterday are of better quality (on paper) than what we currently have. Something wrong. De Zerbi is getting tons of goals out of a front line that contains Welbeck and March!

Got a new manager and now we are still sh*t and can`t score. Not sure what to say at this point. The problem is that we can`t sign the right players. There is no other explanation left. There really isn't. Bloody hell.

September 17, 20232 yr Text my Bournemouth mate before the game and said congrats on ththe three points before kick off, at half time I text him again and said I'd be happy with a point. Happy with the clean sheet and point tbh... should be clear of relegation battle by January. Todd and yanks out.

It would have helped if we bought someone who can score goals. Not hard to scout for those players is it. Pretty mental really.

Can’t really say the defence did any better given Bournemouth had just as many shots on target and final third entries. Sanchez made some fantastic saves. Lost for words with this team. #Roadto40 was a meme now become reality.
September 17, 20232 yr Players walk off without barely breaking a sweat. It's f**king atrocious football played at walking speed. Never test the keeper, never test the defence more than once every 15 minutes. You're supposed to build momentum, but all we do is pass it around slower any team in the league.

That was the most aggravating game so far this season, and that includes West Ham! 14th place? 14th f**king place! I don't even blame Poch, again, this is a deeper situation! That said, I still think we should've given Jose a few seasons to try and quick-fix this mess! We are still trying to constantly thread it in the box and always look for a pass, just f**king hoof the ball at goal!

He would have had the same problem any forward has here; we are way too slow in transition and don’t create enough big chances.

Maybe it's just a confidence and settled team issue. Brighton have been fortunate with very few long term injuries. Meanwhile we can't keep a settled team because key player after key player gets injured. It does help to have that confidence and momentum. Newcastle had it last season, but this season they have it a little less so. Edited September 17, 20232 yr by enigma
September 17, 20232 yr Didn't we supposedly have the "easiest" opening 5 games of anyone in the league this season? And we're barely above the relegation zone. We will be in the relegation zone before long. It'#s going to happen.

I honestly feel if we can get people firing we will be doing well but that sounds like the same thing we've been saying for the past 6 years

September 17, 20232 yr I think when the whole model is based off such heavy recruitment, then the players you bring in need to be good. So far out of the 30 odd players we have signed, there is probably only about 5 players that look like they can even compete at a top 6 level in the prem week in, week out. Enzo, Caicedo, Nkunku, Badiashille, Sterling. Out of those 5, I would argue only 2 of them, Nkunku, and Enzo, are better than the players they have came in to replace. Let's be real, Havertz, Mount, Pulisic, Kante, Rudiger, Mendy, are better than Jackson, Sterling, Palmer, Mudryk, Disasi etc. Hopefully when the injured player return, we at least look like a top 8 team, because last 2 games have been relegation level performances.

It’s ultimately down to management. Like someone said, Brighton are having fun with Welbeck and March in their attack. I’d consider Mudryk and Jackson better players. It’s Poch. He need to do better. Tuchel won the f*cking champions league with Werner and Havertz.

September 17, 20232 yr Man Utd and Chelsea both look atrocious. How the mighty have fallen. Only thing going for us is Poch has not been here long, meanwhile Ten Hag has been there for over a season. Edited September 17, 20232 yr by enigma

September 17, 20232 yr If you can’t put the ball in the net you don’t win matches We must have the thickest players in the league in the final third…far too many poor decisions by players who you expect to do better Jackson is raw, a handful , he won’t though get you the goals Playing Enzo as a 10 waste’s his talent Playing Colwell at LB makes no sense with two on the bench Switching Sterling from the right to the left again made no sense with the FB on a yellow Sanchez did well today and made sure of the point Ultimately, scoring is the key, the stats suggest we are doing ok, they will also say we will finish nearer the bottom than the top unless we get the monkey of our back
