Chelsea v Preston NE (FA Cup) Sat 6th Jan 24 17:30 GMT

Can’t see where our goals are going to come from. Maybe we will rely on Palmer again. Thought it was a good effort with his chance, keeper done well to close down quickly.

Only listening to commentary but sounds like the lads are walking about not giving a sh*t.

That true?

It’s pretty lethargic, waiting for something to happen. Preston have more intent in possession.

Boro holding Villa at HT. Ominous!!. I don't know much about tactics but these players must have SOME talent for us to sign them. I think a different manager, don't know who, would see things differently and sort them out. I do wonder how Mourinho would go about it.

This is so f**king lazy. Unless we see a coach that removes this sh*te slow build up play from the club, then I am not interested in backing them.

Our wingers are players that love to run behind defenders, but all of them are picking it up 20 yards from the oppositions box and are expected to run past 3 players like they are Eden Hazard.

Our cm's are moving the ball way too slow and playing way too safe.

We just don't hit teams fast enough. Everything we do is so predictable. Apart from the odd dinked ball by Enzo, it's all so easy to play against.

I have a question, were any of these players signed from clubs that played slow possession based football? Sterling and Palmer were, but it's widely acknowledged that Sterling's best football was when he and Sane were playing together in 1v1 situations and running in behind the defenders at City. So why are we persisting with a brand of football that almost all of our players are not suited to? Just f**king ditch it, why is every coach doing this same thing? You don't have players that can play this way and it's the most boring and sleep inducing football in the game.

Agreed.

Palmer looks our most creative player by far.

Maybe Madueke and Washington on for Sterling and Mudryk.

Palmer to the left, Noni right, Washington up top with Broja.

If they're not going to use Mudryk's speed they might as well not play him...

He needs a ball he can run on to... all he's had this half is a ball at his feet when he has 2 people marking him...

But he is a future Ballon D'Or winner..  surely once in a while he can pick up a ball at his feet AND start to run.  I know it's asking a lot of a professional footballer but I'm a demanding kind of guy.

You look at all of Mudryk's highlights videos before he joined and you will see he was always doing this. Yet at Chelsea, we expect him to run at players and beat them with flicks and tricks that he isn't good at. There are way too many coaches in the game that are not playing players to their strengths, and they all seem to end up at Chelsea.
