Am I the only one who thinks its not necessarily a bad thing they all wanted to take the pen? Theyre young and hungry for goals and if there isnt a designated penalty taker you would be desperate to get another goal. This is something Poch needs to sort as its something thats happened before.

Bit extreme telling them to f off, calling them wnkers and be sold. Theyve all played well tonight.

What they did is absolutely inexcusable, don’t get me wrong. Poch is the one letting it happen though. You let kids decide themselves and this is what happens.
To expect a bunch of 20 year olds to behave at all times is wild management.

When this team hits the heights like today in terms of scoring you think a couple years ahead how we could dominate games other ways as well. Attacking minded football is Pochettino's brand so we need to give him praise for letting the young boys just go full out. Is there any concrete reason why he can't take this golden opportunity to give a few players on the bench their debut or just generally more PL mins to build experience?

Think you're spot on. My gut reaction  was hook them both but that was a knee jerk reaction. Definitely better ti not make it a public spectacle

There is that, and one of Jacksons better games. I suppose you could look at it another way they are passionate about getting on the score sheet.

It's just yet another example of the lack of discipline that has been a blight on this group since Pochettino took over. I don't accept the being young and hungry excuse. Most young players don't behave like that, you're taught very early on the importance of being a team player.

My interpretation of the penalty fiasco:

Ref gives a penalty and Madueke picks up the ball probably assuming Palmer will let him take since he has a hattrick already and he was the one that got the penalty (this isn't uncommon in most teams. Jackson probably seeing Madueke with the ball thinks that Palmer has allowed Madueke to take it so he tries to fight for a chance to kick it as well. Palmer begins stepping in to take the pen after seeing the disagreement but Jackson still wont let loose of the ball until Gallagher takes it away from everyone.

IMO Jackson carries most of the blame, Madueke's reaction in wanting to take the penalty is completely normal.

The loudest standing ovation I have seen for a Chelsea player in a while. Well deserved too, the guy is the only reason why we are a top 10 team.

Caicedo's been absolutely brilliant today.

Don't we have Caicedo and Jackson one card away from a 2 game ban and after tonight its an amnesty. 10 to play, both still on!!
