I'm not voting as I really am not that bothered. Usually a European final is contested by teams battling near the top of the league, not teams 16th & 17th in the table, just above the relegation zone. It's a joke that the winner will get CL football next season.

That said, if Spurs do win, I won't be as devastated as I would have been in the past. Maybe it's because I'm older and can't be arsed to hate other clubs like I used to when I was younger. Also, the guy who moved in next door a few years back is a Spud, and a nicer bloke you couldn't meet. Play football with him every week and we go for a beer and both moan about our respective clubs and how badly they are being run, so I would almost be pleased for him if they win. And I also like the idea of Ange winning and then walking away.

i hate Arsenal far more than Utd or Spurs and being able to use this as an argument against Arsenal fans of why their club is tiny that even Spurs has more pedigree than them is enough for me. Other than that don't really care. Utd the obvious rivalry through the Fergie/Mourinho era and Spurs got quite fiery under Poch but in recent years they're both sh*te. At least Spurs always roll over and give us three points.

Call me crazy but I understand not wanting Spurs to win a trophy because of the rivalry, but a Utd win means a Villa win on Sunday. That might mean we miss out on CL.

Would fans rather play in Europa/Conference league than watch Spurs lift a trophy?

Spurs are so insignificant to me I don't care about them. I'm honestly in the same boat that my dislike for Arsenal triumphs over anything else, so Spurs winning just to rile the Arsenal fanbase would be funny.

I'm also inclined to believe that a Spurs win would force United to play with some dignity in front of the home crowd Sunday, whereas a win would have them hungover.

Well said; a Spurs win doesn’t do anything anything for them in the long run, Levy will always self sabotage. A Utd win might just rejuvenate the club, and might mean we compete for the same targets. They might be broke, but they can pay the big wages which we can’t.

Yes

I suppose the Tottenham Trophy cabinet joke photo could always be updated to containing a single trophy with the word "17th" on it, so perhaps not the "disaster" it might appear were they to win LOL

United are losing that game regardless of the outcome today.

Amorim’s job will be on the line if he doesn’t win tonight, failure to win on Sunday should that happen will be the final nail. I’d rather have them send out their first team on Sunday than a bunch of kids.
