Yesterday I had a meeting at work with a group of people who didn't know each other. Cue the inevitable introductory round, where we all had to reveal a "surprising fact" about ourselves. I told the group I'm a passionate Chelsea supporter and still basking in the glory of our 5-1 thrashing of A**x. Not everybody was amused 😆

I would love them to carry on but I just don’t see it happening. The players look like they’ve downed tools.

They've spent too much money on Wirtz, Isak, Ekitike, Kerkez and Frimpong (and too much on new contracts for the fast declining Salah and VVD).

Executive egos will be too fragile to admit they've overspent, or bought poorly, so it will Slot who becomes the fall guy and someone else will be brought in to try and make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

Oh and Mike Penders literally plays as a sweeper. He'll be hung out to dry if they employ that tactic in the PL. He does look comfortable currently as does Sarr, tbh
