Bloody hell Chippy you're getting cantankerous in your old age! Shouldn't you be telling us off for not getting behind the gaffer?

(Good to see you mate, hope you're keeping well)

It's the false hope that gets me, I never rated Maresca but have seen 4 or 5 games that made me think I was being harsh but his constant changes especially with CBs really peevs me.

I said after the Arsenal game that like the PSG game he looked like he'd done his homework, even the James to midfield has surprised me with starting to look good but throwing it away by changing so many players when your best midfielder is out is just too much even for me.

Hope alls good with you Ploks, I'm having a bad time, might explain my lack of patience☺️

Enzo ‘with’ Caicedo is bad enough, take him out of it and we’re playing with no midfield. I’d take him off for Reece, like for like; won’t happen but yea.

Games gone, don't bring anyone important on, rest others.

Yes, more resting!! We just can’t get enough rest. Maybe Boehly can get Maresca one of those cryogenic chambers for Christmas and he can put the whole squad into suspended animation and keep them fresh for some point in the distant future.

Arsenal make 3 changes and most of them like for like against Brentford.

Maresca has made 5 personnel changes and if that was not bad enough, Chalobah, Enzo and Pedro are all playing in different positions to what they did on the weekend. Its just absurd!

Would get Palmer, James, Neto and Acheampong ALL on at HT for Estevao, Pedro, Badiashille and Tosin. But you could literally take anyone off.

Need a massive second half. Villa have come back from 2-0 down - even Fulham nearly turned over a 5-1 deficit.

Come on Chelsea - wake up FFS!!!

I'd keep Esteviao on. Not because he has been remotely decent but because there is a chance he might do something. Whereas Gittens is 100% guaranteed to spend the next 45 minutes being as useful as Stevie Wonder at Hide and Seek. Gittens needs hooked. Along with Pedro and Badiashille. I'd say Enzo too who has been invisible.

This is peak Maresca Ball.

  • Wingers isolated and in 1v3 situations.

  • No one playing it long to the striker.

  • No traditional fullbacks.

  • Playing with a sweeper & moving the ball slow

  • Recycle, Recycle, Recycle

Add Badashille into the mix and you have disaster on your hands

I stand corrected (and very still) sideways to the bomb squad it is. Guy is a shocking defender, no idea why he is liked, stands on the ball, no urgency, and quite frankly we can all see literally no brain cells. Stealing a living.

For some ridiculous reason Maresca has decided to from this

Ffs Maresca, Farke has us and Liverpool to save his job. The man's lack of awareness is ridiculous

Chelsea look sh*t against a back three part 95.

A few tactical issues here: with Chalobah as the RCB in possession Estêvão is being expected to provide all the width on the right. We want him further inside where he can actually attack the box. The midfield diamond we usually play has been bizarrely static; with their front two pressing around the halfway line, Santos or one of the centre-backs has been left with nobody to pass to, so the ball gets recycled backwards rather than Fernández or Cucurella coming deep to receive the ball. When we can't advance the ball through the middle our plan B seems to be to play it long to Estêvão (who is tiny and weighs about 50kg); Delap can't do anything because he's useless up against three center-backs and Gittens is being ignored presumably for body odour or sexual deviancy reasons.

I would genuinely be tempted to take off Fernández for a more dynamic centre mid. I assume the problem is exhaustion. For all my piss-taking, that was bad.

I would normally keep a player like Estevao on but he looks like a kid lost out there tonight and also looks like a red waiting to happen.

Gusto on to save the day FFS............................

ESTEVAO OFF?????

He was doing nothing and was a red card waiting to happen, Gittens should have come off too though
