Liam Rosenior - Chelsea Head Coach *Now Sacked*

Featured Replies

Looks like our ambitious owners have decided we need the man that was sacked at Hull...it is what it is.

My thoughts are on the lines of the interference from the board and medical staff obviously made Marescas job difficult but that's as much slack as I'd cut him, he made stubborn mistakes and selections that can't all be attributed to those above him.

Add to that, for me our best performances came against better teams where it looked like he'd studied them and come up with a gameplan, often looking almost genius but did he even have a glimpse of a video of Leeds, Bournemouth etc? We often looked like a sunday league team without a plan and when changes were needed it was usually personel and not tactics.

I'd imagine anyone with a clue about management could have the same up and down performances.

That said, the lack of ambition is sickening, ok for clearlake if the can earn a bit from player sales etc but what about the fans?

If not an elite manager that Chelsea deserves then at least someone with Chels connections, a Fabregas or Lamps back although not ideal would for me make watching our games a lot more interesting.

The passion is going from my support and it's down to this ownership and their business model.

Let's hope something changes like the owners deciding they want to see Chelsea winning titles again.

I'll keep dreaming.

My gravest concern with Rosenior is that I’ve seen a few comments online today referencing boring slow playing out from the back football. One a comment from a Hull City fan saying that he did quite well with them, but the football was boring.

This reminds me of the stuff we were hearing from Leicester fans about Maresca and what we got from Maresca.

And if there was one thing I had hoped for with a new manager/coach was that the football be a little bit entertaining.

I think Santos got himself playing excellently in France because he's a good player.

Young manager coming in, im trying to find positives. Im going to give him the benefit of the doubt and see. Blueprint to take from today, thought it was pretty grim game in the first half, totally different side second. Think weve missed Palmer Jackson link up, today, Delap and Palmer linked up well. Thought Delap did well in the second half and well earned his yellow, brought a smile to my face. This team has the ability to go toe to toe and prove themselves second half of season.

Back 3 looked decent 2nd half today, not sure whether we get a signing or two in january, could maybe do with Moreira as a left wing back.

Or maybe he sticks with the back 4, just font want to see square pegs in round holes.

I don’t think he changes too much.

Pretty kind run of league fixtures for him to hit the ground running.

Fulham a

Brentford h

Palace a

West ham h

Wolves a

Leeds h

Burnley h

5 wins from those 7, and i think it will put us in a very decent position.

Rosenior wouldnt be anywhere near this job if it was up to me, but got to support him and hope for the best as usual. Back 3 looked decent 2nd half today, not sure whether we get a signing or two in january, could maybe do with Moreira as a left wing back.

Good run of fixtures but we've got 9 games in January (8 after today) so that's very little time on the training pitch between matches.

Like I have said multiple times in my last few posts .. fck clear lake and the SDs - many better options available than a coach who is underperforming in a farmer’s league.. he has the baritone of a 10 year o”d- don’t see how any player takes him seriously.

And he looks like the Hasidic homeboy from the sopranos

They are doing a double interview tomorrow in London one with Rosenoir and one with his Stradbourg replacement according to Sky’s man who knows all

Potter lasted a few months and was uncomfortabley out of his depth , even had a makeover courtesy of the club this geez has a bit more about him but the appointment doesn’t make sense?

Rosenior made him captain and a focal point in the team though. He could have easily stuck him on the bench all season like Maresca did.

Underperforming how exactly?

I'm really disappointed with this appointment. Just another Blue Co. Operative. I think this is a low watermark in a pretty dreadful era.

It will be truly farcical to see this junior giving out instructions to Reece Enzo Cole and Caicedo.

"When I was at Hull...." 🙄

The standard was low with potter I didn't think it would get worse. Utter madness to entrust the team / squad to what's not far off a total novice at this level.

Guys not even joined yet and he's already getting the classic line of only being responsible for the bad, never the good.

He has to be given the chance before we hound him. I bet Barca player also laughed when Pep was given the keys with no experience. Until Rosenior gives us reason not to, he has to have our full support.

Unless he is the next Pep or Alex Ferguson then it stands out as another poor Blue co signing in the making and we have had some howlers. Some are still in the building.

The risk is not worth taking.

What are the numbers ? That graphic means kinda nothing without context.

Percentile data. Maresca counters number at 80.9 percent means we counter more than 8/10 other teams. Roseniors number at 12.2 means everyone else essentially counters more. For example.

NO YOU ARE WRONG, PEP STARTED MANAGING AS BARCELONA B TEAM FOR 4 YEARS, BEFORE BEING PROMOTED AND THE REST IS HISTORY

ROSENIOR STARTED OUT AS WAYNE ROONEYS ASSISTANT, TOOK OVER AS CARETAKER GOT FIRED AFTER 12 GAMES,TOOK OVER HULL IN 13TH AND FINISHED THE SEASON 15TH, THEN GOT FIRED AFTER FINISHING 7TH THE FOLLOWING SEASON

HE HAS DONE NOTHING TO WARRANT TAKING OVER A TEAM THATS WON 5 PL AND 2 CL

I DONT WANT ANOTHER PUPPET

Well Man Utd could let us take Clown show of the month off them for just one week without trying to out do us. Although they would have to appoint Brenda the tea lady to one up us on Liam Rosenior.
