August 8, 201213 yr I only watched all the europa league games but after Falcao, I was mostly impressed by this guy. His strength as you mentioned is the aerial threat he provides, but he is very skillfull and has a deadly shot too. His passing is very nice too as is his ball control, just don't expect him to dribble with his speed, which it is his only weakness in my opinion. If you saw the games versus united maybe you will remember his sublime volley. i dont know why he didnt play in the euros, as he was in the squad. Maybe his style didn't fit with the rest of the team's. He was injured... Edited August 8, 201213 yr by Xfaxtor
August 9, 201213 yr Apparently Juventus are sniffing around Llorente as well, and I'd imagine their search for a striker is more desperate than ours.
August 9, 201213 yr Yeah they have been linked with so many strikers this summer. Im acutally surprised that they havent signed one yet.

August 9, 201213 yr London Evening Standard saying we are set to bid £15m for Llorente, now that would be a bloody bargain. Also, it would be good to get him just so we can sing "2 Fernando Torres`s, theres only 2 Fernando Torres, 2 Fernando Torres`s..."

Also, it would be good to get him just so we can sing "2 Fernando Torres`s, theres only 2 Fernando Torres, 2 Fernando Torres`s..." Why & who would we sing that? I like the like with the Brazilian centre forward Leandro Damiao. He looks a good replacement for Drogba.

Not making this up, his full name is Fernando Llorente Torres. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Llorente "This name uses Spanish naming customs; the first or paternal family name is Llorente and the second or maternal family name is Torres." Our Torres, by the way, is Fernando Torres Sanz.

August 11, 201213 yr Chelsea have had a €6.5m bid rejected for Stephan Lichtsteiner. Juventus want €10m [Tuttosport]. #CFC
August 11, 201213 yr Chelsea have had a €6.5m bid rejected for Stephan Lichtsteiner. Juventus want €10m [Tuttosport]. #CFC His name is mentioned on here, and then it becomes a story . Gotta love those 'journalists'. Also it was mentioned here, they paid 8M last year, why take 1.5M less a year later? Who? Juv Rb. Edited August 11, 201213 yr by Damo810
August 11, 201213 yr Who? He's alright but I'm not sure it makes sense to go after a backup RB who's older than Ivanovic. Edited August 11, 201213 yr by That Boy Brandinho
August 12, 201213 yr Who? Not the first time you've said this . But hasn't Lichsteiner played as a wingback a good deal for Juventus, in their 3-5-2 formation? Edited August 12, 201213 yr by Teritus
August 12, 201213 yr Not the first time you've said this . But hasn't Lichsteiner played as a wingback a good deal for Juventus, in their 3-5-2 formation? No, he was Very good for them whenever they played with four at the back. Pepe took the wingback role in the 3-5-2 as Lichsteiner wasn't really good in that formation.
August 12, 201213 yr Monday morning shopping list for Mr Abramovich Azpiculeta M'Vila Hulk Cavani/ Falcao That would be awesome
August 12, 201213 yr Monday morning shopping list for Mr Abramovich Azpiculeta M'Vila Hulk Cavani/ Falcao That would be awesome Azpilicueta Hulk Moses I believe that will be what we will get by the end of the transfer window, this would make me happy too.
August 13, 201213 yr I think it's just Azpili and Moses left now. I still think we need a better central midfielder, but oh well.
August 13, 201213 yr Bilbao have said that Llorente is only leaving if his release clause is activated, and that is 36m Euros, so about 28.3m pounds. Better off looking elsewhere.
August 13, 201213 yr Llorente has 1 year left on his contract. They,d be lucky to get 10 mil for him as he wants out anyway. Bilbao are kidding themselves if they honestly think someone will pay that money for him when they can sign him on a free in 12 months. They know that though, the media just report crap because they have to.
August 14, 201213 yr Spurs looking to cign Capoue or M'Villa http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2187896/Tottenham-scout-Etienne-Capoue.html damn, i wish chelsea were sniffing around either of those two, maybe they are but so far it doesnt appear that way
August 14, 201213 yr Gael Kakuta wants out: http://m.skysports.com/article/football/yourclub/7988923?compid=263&teamid=524 Edited August 14, 201213 yr by Huttsey
August 14, 201213 yr Thats no surprise really. He said last summer that he wouldnt go on loan again, it was either play him or sell him. With Oscar and Hazard joining he was pushed further down the ladder. We should put a buy back or future sell on clause in the contract though!
August 14, 201213 yr I haven't felt confident about him making it here in years...I hope he goes and kick starts his career
