We always seem to be in a transitional period, i have heard this said about every Chelsea squad since Ancelotti's second season with us. The only time it wasn't said was when we won the title 2 season's ago. When exactly are we supposed to be out of this transitional period?

Haha... Guess it's when Terry and Ivanovic are replaced - which should have been the case already - but Iva will continue to 40 and Terry to 45, so the transition will last a while yet.

Shame we don't still have Eto'o could have had him playing with them in 2037 at the tender age of 84. He'll be drawing a pension by then so his wages should be decent.

Is this mustaffi any good, it's almost become a secondary consideration now over arsenal actually signing someone. Valencias defence last season was appalling wasn't it?

In my opinion no. He had no exceptional qualities, solid but very unspectacular. Can olay several positions so that migjt be the appeal. Wont be much of an uopgrade for Arsenal and him and Koscielny isnt a good piribg at all

God we've gotten ourselves in a right mess. Loaning out Remy AND Traore, wtf is that all about?

I think we're fine with the striker options we have, especially if we give some of our youth a runout. Problems might appear if there are injuries, but I wouldn't fret about our striker options. The problem area is defence.

Yeah, Loftus Cheek looks like he may be the 3rd striker for us. Hopefully he can do a good job. I would prefer Traore though, he's been great whenever he played last season so I'm annoyed and saddened to see him go out on loan.

Christensen is on 2 years loan, currently on his second year.

RLC isn't a striker...he's an attacking midfielder...Conte is wrong on that one...see Bamfordinho is off to The Dingles for a season long loan...he could of been handy...

Several outlets reporting we are in for Lazio's Stefan de Vrij, he is 24 was in the Dutch World cup squad in 2014. Was out for a while following that with a serious knee injury. Feyenoord youth product. 2 young CB's with recent serious injuries...not sure how clever that is. 

He is playing for Lazio against Juve right now. He should see a fair amount of action in this one

He was good before, if he is looking strong again and can hopefully stay fit no reason we can't buy him.

I'm not sure, I'd be happy if we signed Rodriguez or Alonso but I don't think it's a priority because of the understanding Azpi and Haz have on the left flank. I think we need a new RB and new LB to accommodate different tactical conditions and to replace Ivan, can see the value of Aina remaining with the first team this year but eventually needs to go out on loan and play week in week out to learn his trade (and cut out the naive mistakes).

conte would prefer to have left footed left back because of the ball transition to hazard, remember the game vs watford when hazard was switched from left to right for easy transition: ivanovic->hazard. azpi is great as left back in defense but in offensive part there is a big problem. fabinho is great player but I would rather prefer ricaro rodriguez on the left and azpi on the right

At least in 3 days I can stop checking for rumour updates 15 times a day and the anticipation is gone, even if we get no noone it's better than constant expectation and frustration and I can just get on with watching us play.  

It'll be 2 i reckon, that marcus alonso and either koulibaly or james rodriguez, whichever we can get / conte feels we need more. All 3 would mean a too higher spend i think.
