No, he didn't win us the CL. If anything, it was RDM because he was the one who brought him on. We can also say, if Torres was not brought on maybe we would have still scored. Trying to give Torres cheap credit is not right. He cost us Drogba who could have given us at least two more years and probably a few more league titles, he cost us a bright young talent in Sturridge, he also played his part in a club legend like Di Matteo getting fired, and lastly, he got that big fat waiter to work for this club. If Torres gave anything to this club, it was mostly negative.

That is some amazing connections you are making. Your first line is something I didn't even say.

So what big trophy did he he help Chelsea win? There are only two big trophies the club competes for, the league title, and the champions league. Everything else is minor.

'Help win' and 'win us' are completely different things.

You can't deny he helped us win the CL and EL.

I disagree about the CL and I don't consider the Europa to have been something great. I'm sure other fans will disagree with me on that last point and it's understandable.

Anyway, if I came across as an angry **** in my replies, it's just mis-directed anger so I apologise.

His signing alone was worth it just to see scousers foaming at the mouth that 'THEIR TROPHY' you know the one they won FIVE TIMES LAAAAA ended up in his hands. Torres won the European Cup you scouse bar stewards, remember that.

Anyway I don't think he deserves the hate. He put a lot of effort in for our club, but was on the wane when we signed him due to the dippers' poor handling of his injuries the season before. And his goals in the Nou Camp and Amsterdam are up there amongst my Chelsea memories. His goals record in cup competitions was actually not that bad, just his Premier League record that really stank.

Torres didn't help us win it but the FA Cup isn't "minor" to me and many other fans who consider it a historic prize to win, with the final being one of the most important days of the footballing year. Just saying.

So no severance package, do you think the conversation went something like this...

"So, we want Fernando`s contract fully paid up."

"No, sod off"

"we want some of Fernando`s contract paid up"

"no, sod off"

"can we have any of Fernando`s contract paid up"

"We`ll give you fifty quid, a packet of quavers and this back scratcher. Now sod off"

"ok, cheers".

Il be very happy if leaves. Seems like a decent bloke but he just lacked the fortitude to make it here, in what is an extremely competitive environment.

Wish him all best and hope he does well for Milan.

Some things are just not meant to be!

It is a historic prize to win, however, it is not bigger than the league and/or the champions league. Any top club's ambition in the modern era will always be to win their domestic league and try to win the CL.

Every trophy is worth winning, I don't understand how anyone can think anything else.

They are, but some are not as important as others.

No arguing with that, but any fan who says they arent bothered about winning certain trophies amaze me. Especially when you remember which was Jose`s first trophy for us.

I didn't say that, I just said it isn't a "minor" trophy, as you did.
