Nathaniel Chalobah

When it's a choice of him working with Zola or Owen Coyle I think we can all agree that it would be best if he returned to Watford.

The only issue is Watford have lost the loans that made them such an exciting team this year.  It also wouldn't present him with a new challenge as he's comfortable there.  Apparently Nottingham Forest are interested in him now.

Watford haven't started too badly this season so I still think it's a good option for him.

If it were a toss up between Wigan and Watford then as I said, I have more faith in Zola helping his development than Coyle.

I wouldn't be against him joining Forrest, they seemed keen to give Hutchinson game time up until his injuries so I can't see why Chalobah couldn't do a job for them and again, I would rather he worked with Billy Davies than Coyle.... I really don't like Coyle (I think it's the shorts).

Would much prefer a PL move. Is the loan window still open or does that shut at the same time?

Premier League transfer window is shut, which includes loans.

The loan window is separate and is only open to leagues below the Premiership.

Nice little interview with Chalobah on SS. Hopefully the loan is his last one. Seems good with Bamford as well so it would awesome to see them both feature here.

FWIW I saw a think on twitter the other day via Chelsea Fan Cast that rated Chelsea as having 6 top, young prospects in football.  Courtois, T Hazard, Zouma, etc were all listed, but so was Chalobah.

I have high hopes for him, he has always been really impressive whenever I've seen him.  Aside from that playoff game for Watford unfortunately.  I think he's the best hope of an academy prospect breaking into the team as a regular since Terry.

What are the chances of him being first team at Burnley?

He impressed at Watford and he's a decent player so surely he's got to have a good chance you would think.

So much for him being in the team and it being his last loan.

Not that I mind, I think Ake is better anyway.

It probably would have been if he'd had a loan spell like the one he had the year before at Watford but he didn't have a great season.

Let's face it he was always going to need some exposure to the Premier League before pulling on a Chelsea shirt on a regular basis. I for one am very happy he's gone to Burnley where imo he'll get a very good amount of game time and all important PL experience.

Agreed, any of those bottom 3 clubs he should really be walking onto their starting XI IMO. I'm very confident he'll get game time there.

He should get plenty of game-time with Burnley. After the Watford fan OP said he was their best player in the season where they finished in the Championship play-offs - I think with two years more experience he'll definitely be good enough for the team tipped to finish 20th.

Totally agree with you. Burnley must give him chance to prove himself. I'm 100% in 2-3 years he can be first team player.
