Eden Hazard - Chelsea Legend

And when asked by Sky Sports News HQ's Andy Burton when Hazard needed "an arm around his shoulder", Hiddink replied: "I'm not his mother, they get proper attention.

Good man Guus.

I doubt we would sell without having an adequate replacement in place.

Hazard is our best player when in form but the way he is playing just now he wouldn't exactly be a big loss. I said it when he signed that when Madrid come sniffing about these players are already half way there.

Now Zidane is in charge (The player he most wants to be like and admires) I can see him pushing for a move come the summer.

Guus might be able to get him back on track and if he does that's great but then we have the situation of who is in charge next season as we basically know its not going to be Guus going by his comments.

You do realise players as good and as talented as Hazard don't grow on trees?. Yeah lets sell him and replace him with someone who wants to be here and work harder but nowhere near as talented. That kind of logic makes my brain hurt. As i keep saying Hazard performances are nowhere near as bad as people are suggesting just the fact he hasn't scored makes it look so much worse. I can think of plenty of games of the top of my head where he has played really well

Stoke away

Spurs away

Man Utd away

Bournemouth home

Norwich home

Porto home

There is bound to be more, We need to keep this guy and build our team around him.

good post jack.

unfortunately it's been stop-start with injuries but his form hasn't been awful and in his last few full games he's generally been good. not best-player-in-the-league-good, but still. good.

obviously it is a frustration that he hasn't scored but it appears that the team is improving and some confidence is coming back. hazard will benefit from that surely, and in turn the team will benefit from his return.

I think actively wanting to sell him is crazy, but the idea of selling him NOW to stop his value decreasing is even crazier- it suggests an expectation that his form will get worse whereas from watching him for nearly 4 years every week surely logic tells us the opposite is more likely?

it might be the case that he leaves for one of the super-clubs in the future. but I want us to keep him for as long as we can. these type of talents are incredibly difficult to replace no matter how much money we get. history shows that.

Errr that's why I said an adequate replacement....Thought it was pretty obvious but there you go.

We should only sell if a Bale or the likes was available to come in although if he wants to leave we would have to make a decision...keep a player who isn't going to reach the same heights as before or sell for the highest amount possible.

I really hope he's coming back soon, sure he's done just about nothing this season, but Pedro is playing every game and contributing nothing and doesn't look like improving.

We could always start Kenedy rather than rushing Eden back. Or Traore.

Could also play RLC in place of Oscar too, doubt he would offer less.

Not so much a statement that the youth have to start, is more amazement that the ineptitude of Oscar and Pedro does not cost them their places.

Breaking news. Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have been banned from registering new signings for the next two transfer windows.

Looks like Hazard won't be leaving for Madrid any time soon...lol (De Gea's buggered too).

Naturally this will be appealed and reduced to one window

He could still leave this window as a panic buy (and they've strong motivation to panic buy).

and i think IF they actually want him they will come calling very soon. Hope we hold out as they will need to pay a bit extra now for players.

The price would be astronomical, even with Eden's recent form.

If they come for Hazard we should ask for Bale and Varane, plus give them $30m for Kroos

That's basically the same as telling them not to bother approaching Hazard. Real Madrid is a proper circus at times (most of the time, to be honest), but even they're not THAT mad.

I cannot see them NOT making big bids for Pogba and Hazard.

Real Madrid not being able to spend big for 2 transfer windows must be driving their president crazy, they will buy big this window

Yes, I'm sure they're at least very tempted to make those bids and probably will make at least one of them, but would they be willing to let three players go to get one player in?

They probably will, but as everyone knows they're desperate to buy, so the selling teams probably feel they should be able to get sums at least well beyond any club transfer record (for the selling club) and quite probably beyond the world transfer record. It's all about how much the selling clubs are willing to exploit the situation and how much Real Madrid is willing and/or afford to pay for the players.

I think Atletico is the most affected by this ban. They have debts and most times sell off their stars every summer. They won't be to now given they can't replace or they might without an adequate replacement. I also don't think Simeone will leave because of the ban. Its been reported he rejected Utd after Moyes' sack before they went for LVG, he's very fond of the club. After many yrs there as a player, can't blame him.
