I REALLY REALLY Hate Marteniz. Mind your own damn business jackoff

"It could be the best time [for Hazard] to try something different," Martinez told Cadena Ser's "El Larguero" radio show when asked if Hazard would be the right fit for Real Madrid. "He is a player who has maturity and a lot of leadership. His play is based on talent. Hazard could carry a new project anywhere in the world. He is at the best moment of his career.

Without sounding biased the Premier League is the best place to play football currently, especially with 5-6 teams in the mix for the league this coming season.

I don't find La Liga as exciting as it was years back. I really hope Hazard gives it a season under Sarri's leadership, I think he'll enjoy it personally.

All Chelsea fans will be saying f**k off Martinez - keep your opinions to yourself.

But looking at it from a neutral perspective, he's only saying what many would. He is Hazard's International Manager and probably thinks he's gone as far as he can at Chelsea. In the past, players like Gerrard, Lampard, Giggs and Rooney have been criticized for staying at one club too long and not playing abroad and trying to improve their game. Of course I really want Hazard to stay as he is far and away our best player but I do think the signs are that we will lose him so as long as we get as much as we can (MINIMUM £180M) for our most prized asset and then hopefully the money is invested wisely.

Plenty of places reporting already that Chelsea won't sell.

The Times are saying if we did sell we'd only do it for £200m, upfront and not in installments which Madrid can't afford.

Yup, I have felt from the beginning Madrid won't value him above 125m. Some of the soundings imply that to be the case. I'd be shocked if we sell him for more than that and I'll be shocked if we are prepared to sell him at that price

He will stay and I think he's fine with that. I'd be happy to have him just wind down his contract for two years and leave for nothing.

Like somebody else said, if I'm Madrid I want M'bappe, younger and a better replacement for Ronaldo. Hazard can't exactly fill that void, they need somebody to score the goals and lead the line. If they're really willing to spend 200 million on Hazard then they're stupid, they'll be going into the next season with no striker.

I'll be very surprised if they do go all out on Hazard, M'bappe should be their primary target.

He is also not saying Hazard hasn't already said himself.

You're an embarrassment.

Shut up you prick what part of that isn’t true. What he is doing is a scummy move. He’s using his kids as leverage to get the best deal he can for himself. If you want to leave that’s fine go find another club but when you come out with a big sob story saying you miss your kids and it’s hard to see them grow up on an iPad... I get that I have my own children and have to travel abroad with work some times. After the World Cup where you have played well why come out and say “I haven’t decided yet I might run my contract down”. He is trying to push down his price so we get less money for him. He has probably already been speaking to Real Madrid.

Hard to disagree with this. Seems almost certain his agent has been talking tactics with real for years now

'that scum Courtois'.

Embarrassing mate.

That scum bag won us two league and a couple of cups. Show some respect.

The club have known for a very long time he wanted to go back to Spain. The contract not being signed was their indication to get someone else lined up...they didn't and so can have no complaints.

Also stop calling Chelsea players scumbags and acting like a wee diva, it's embarrassing.

Aaaaaaaaand he’s banned :laugh2:

So just over £100 million for Eden?

Nah rinse them if they want him, £150 for Eden PLUS the Tibo money would be more like it and even then selling 2 vital first team players in one summer sends out worrying signals

£150m??

Zero chance we will accept this.

Hazard is worth 200m alone and even then I still wouldn't accept it, he's irreplaceable to this Chelsea side.

I know most of us were disappointed when Costa, Matic, Mata, KDB and Lukaku were sold but I've been thinking.

When was the last time we sold a player who wasn't deemed surplus to requirements? The last player we sold that the manager/club would have wanted to keep?

Was it Robben?

I may have asked this already, i forgot.

Doesn't look good at the moment. Alot of reports saying we are negotiating with real for both hazard and Courtois.

€160m for the pair seems absurd.

We have been very lucky over the last 15 years, in the fact that none of our best players have left before we were ready to sell them, Robben was probably the last player I was gutted to see go.

This is a crazy summer, probably the most unstable summer I can remember, we spent the 1st half with a question mark over the manager position, and it looks like we will spend the second half with question marks over about 10 players.

At least the window shuts early this year, so the circus can stop for a few weeks.

Never a dull moment with this club.

I was just answering that question in my post :)

Robben is the one that sticks out for me, the fee we got for him was ridiculously low aswell.

We were even open to Robben going weren't we? He was injured quite a lot at that point.

Easy, Frankie Lampard.

Looks like he is off. Who can we replace him with?

I disagree.  Nothing has changed, “negotiations” likely just means Real have made an offer.  For the prices being reported, I don’t think we are close to accepting an offer.

Why is he off?

No way will we accept £120m for Eden Hazard when Coutinho went for £140m.

DiMarzio reported he and Courtois are close to leaving. About as sure a bet as any from a reporter's side.

I don't see how they can't afford it. They just sold Ronaldo for over £100m. Then there is the fact they are one of the biggest if not the biggest club in the world who make loads of revenue, then they also won the UCL. They must have money to spend upfront. It is not like that they have gone barking mad with signings past few seasons either.
