No real standouts, but top 3 were probably Luiz, Bertrand and Mikel, in that order.

Bertrand, i thought he looked the most dangerous of our players. Defense played fairly well today and were the only ones that looked a threat for us. Not a great game, but i'll take an ugly win right now.

Yep mikel did play well today, broke up loads of their play, and got nose bleeds for playing so high up the field.

No real stand out performance, Mikel and Luiz probably the best.

 

Ramires had a bit of stinker, pass completion was probably pretty low today. Still worked as tirelessly as ever though.

I thought Ivanovic had an brilliant game. For as much as Ive been on his case this year for poor play in general Ill give him MoM. Hardly put a foot wrong, won some key challenges and got the winning goal. His best game of the season imo.

Luiz and Ivanovic were our best players today imo. Our CB's are all playing well at the moment, particularly Luiz who has been in great form for the past month or so. It's a toss up between those two but as Luiz appears to be running away with it, I'll go with Branners.

Ill go for Luiz, just. A tough call though no-one stood out, it was all about the result today, nothing more.

Mikel did ok like he normally does against opposition like this but went missing when we needed him most in the last 10 mins.

A special word on Torres though, his introduction seemed to lift the team and bizarrely the crowd too. Keep him masked.

Went for Ivan on this one as I felt he was solid throughout.

 

Luiz had a great game and i love the way he plays with passion; however, he did let a couple of players get past him far too easily.

in what way was ramires worse than mikel? ramires was tackling well and stopping their counters, while everything sunderland created came from mikel being a non-factor in defence
