Luiz and Ramires were the only CFC players who showed urgency and a will to win for the whole 90 minutes (oh and Cech).

 

Luiz for me.

Hazard for me. But Chris Foy will no doubt be delighted with the part he played in the win.

Yeah, I'd have to give it to Luiz too.

Cech, Rami, Luiz, Bertrand, Mata, Ba and Torres all played well.

 

Iva was poor and isn't good enough to be our first choice CB, Mikel was a passenger, Dave didn't have a great game, Oscar and Hazard could have done more I feel.

 

Hard to decide between Cech/Bert/Ba, probably give it to Ba though for his goal changed the game.

Between Luiz, Bertrand, Ramires and Ba for me. The rest didn't do enough over the full 90 to be considered.

 

I will give it to Luiz though, if it wasn't for his fantastic pass we wouldn't have back into it. Not to mention he was solid throughout.

Have to go for Bertrand, honourable mentions to Cech and Ramires. The attacking players were invisible in the first half.

It has to be Luiz, excellent game.

Luiz with Bertrand a close second. Offered a fair bit in attack, good work rate and really could be a successor to Cole (haven't seen much of Luke Shaw).

Luiz for me, no question about it. He didn't stop, was determined and enthusiastic, terrier-like in his persistence.. all the things which the whole team should have been and weren't.

Luiz by a considerable distance.

Luiz for me, I haven't been his greatest fan in the past but his commitment to the cause is slowly winning me over. Possible future captain material.

Ramires. I thought Azpi had his worse game in a Chelsea shirt.

my vote goes to Side Show Bob. Dude was making plays on both sides of the halfway line & his rewards for his efforts?

Luiz appears to be in his best form since joining the club. He's regularly in the top 2 or 3 performers every game. MOTM again for me. 

On train on way back now , good day great support from both sets of fans. Looked a pen to me and didn't really see the Ageuro thing. Result just about right the second goal killed us. 3 headers in a week now.

Mom? Bertrand for me, top quality. Didn't miss Cole one bit. Fulham Wednesday is massive. Personally I'd drop Oscar for a few games , he's becoming a passenger.

Hazard IMO. Luiz played very well when he was pushed up the pitch. At Centre-half............................ not really what was required.

 if mikel had made the error of casually letting a long ball fall over his head requiring a last ditch saving block by ivanovic, how many pages to his many threads would be added?

 

I thought ramires was busy, but pretty poor. I thought mikel was poorer still and that azpilicueta had his worst game since signing, both defensively and going forwards. I can't believe people think he's anything more than an average crosser. but then, he was probably due an off day.

 

I could only give this to cech or ba. they both did all they could.

I've been quite impressed with Demba Ba of late, who once again, managed to score a peach of a goal against a top side. He needs to be played all the time for his good form to continue.

How can there be 3 votes for Iva when his sloppiness led to Aguero being open for their 2nd goal, I love the guy but wow.
