August 13, 20169 yr So del Piero was all action? Oh Dear. Del Piero only played one season under Conte, where he was mainly a substitute. He then wasnt offered a new deal. Do your research.
August 13, 20169 yr Oh Dear. Del Piero only played one season under Conte, where he was mainly a substitute. He then wasnt offered a new deal. Do your research. He played 41 times that season, including cup semi finals and finals.
August 13, 20169 yr He played 41 times that season, including cup semi finals and finals. Dibble Dibble Dibble. Stop digging. He played 23 times in Serie A, 5 times in the cup. Of the 23 games, 19 were sub appearences. He wasnt a Conte player (albeit he was a great one). At least when trying to make a valid(but shocking) argument. Get your facts right. http://int.soccerway.com/teams/italy/juventus-fc/1242/ https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Juventus_Football_Club_2011-2012
August 13, 20169 yr Fair enough, I thought he played more. how about we go with pirlo then..... Pirlo done his job more than well enough defensively. He wasnt a liability. And I think any manager makes exceptions when players are that good. Cesc isnt in that class.
August 13, 20169 yr Pirlo done his job more than well enough defensively. He wasnt a liability. And I think any manager makes exceptions when players are that good. Cesc isnt in that class. Your just making stuff up now.
August 13, 20169 yr Your just making stuff up now. 41 games? He did a job as a holding midfielder. You are comparing Cesc and Pirlo
August 13, 20169 yr He wasn't a holding midfielder in any way, shape or form. He was a deep lying playmaker, he had a dm as a bodyguard.
August 13, 20169 yr He wasn't a holding midfielder in any way, shape or form. He was a deep lying playmaker, he had a dm as a bodyguard. Call it what you will, he didnt have to get around the park like Cesc would in this team. Keep it relevant.
August 13, 20169 yr We dont have Vidal/Pogba/Marchisio to guard Cesc. Also Pirlo was NOT a defensive liability like cesc is. I personally want cesc to stay cause we have 10 times worse players than him like oscar and pedro. But if its between cesc/Hazard for the role of the player who gets to have a free reign, then I will take hazard every day of the week.
August 13, 20169 yr Call it what you will, he didnt have to get around the park like Cesc would in this team. Keep it relevant.Well he certainly wasn't a defensive mudfielder, so I won't be calling it that. Why didn't he? And keep it relevant? How is discussing Contes last club sides midfielder compared to his current club sides midfielder not relevant?
August 13, 20169 yr He wasn't a holding midfielder in any way, shape or form. He was a deep lying playmaker, he had a dm as a bodyguard. Not just a DM, he had grafters the likes of Tevez, Pogba, Marchisio and Vidal. With energy like that at the team you can make defensive sacrifices to a accommodate a generational talent like Pirlo. Besides, Pirlo was a necessary evil in a sense that his playmaking and attacking talent helped relieve defensive pressure, and who better in the world to orchestrate a counter-attack?
August 14, 20169 yr Tuttosport claim that while Juve are only willing to spend 30 million euros on Fabregas, Chelsea would only let the player go for 45 million. Moreover, it’s claimed Cesc is demanding 7 million euros per year in wages. The Italian daily believe that Juve plan to try to negotiate for Fabregas this week, as well as probing the Blues again to see if Nemanja Matic is available, while PSG’s Blaise Matuidi is another player on the Bianconeri’s radar.

There's no way we should sell Fabregas to Juve, of all clubs, on the cheap. We know exactly how much theyve got to spend after the pogba transfer so we should hold out for a higher price safe in the knowledge that theyve got the cash if they really want him

August 14, 20169 yr How about we just ask for Bonucci in return, kill two birds with one stone we need a top class CB and they need a CM
August 14, 20169 yr Shouldn't be selling Fabregas full stop. Who will Chelsea rely on for creativity? Oscar and William. Fabregas is a world class player but doesn't really have the legs for a midfield 2. Next to Kante though he has the legs for 2 players
August 14, 20169 yr I understand Cesc is a player you need to keep happy if you want him to stay. That means he needs to be a starter. I think from our current crop he is a starter.
August 14, 20169 yr I'll be seriously angry if we get rid of Cesc. He is the only player in our team who can play a killer ball against packed defensively. It's absolutely mental to think about selling him, especially for 45m Euros Edit: Also, if it's at the expense of keeping Matic, then it really is a shocking call and someone needs to take their head for a shake. August 14, 20169 yr It would crazy to let go of fabregas. We spent ages looking for a deep lying playmaker, probably since the failed modric bids in 2010. Now we have one, we are complaining about his defensive contributions, rather than praising how good he is on the ball, which is the whole reason he is the team for anyway. He also stood up when things wrent going great last season, and i think he is a good guy in the dressing room. He should be one of the 1st names on the team sheet.
August 15, 20169 yr Matt Law @Matt_Law_DT 2m2 minutes ago Hearing Fabregas not in Conte's first Chelsea starting line-up tonight #cfc uh oh
August 15, 20169 yr He didn't really impress during the preseason and I'm not sure Conte is the type to pick a player on reputation alone.
