I just don't see us being able to replace him, I don't think Mahrez or draxler are an improvement. Dembele would cost well over £90m, and is more likely to go to barca aswell. Too much for us to do with a week left in the market. Stick with willian, and hopefully barca move on to Erikson or alli.

Lol. Am a big fan of Willian but I will sell him even for just 50m and then try to get Martial or Mahrez.

Barcelona are desperate to replace Neymar but they ain't stupid to pay over the odds for a 30 year old player.

Would want to see us buy someone like Mahrez before we let Willian go, quality player and would be hard to replace. 

Willian is one of those players when you don't realise what you've got until they're gone.

Yeah, but we know they are desperate. Why can't we do that in the transfer market when other clubs can do it to us? They have funds up to 200m anyway and we need to buy someone else to replace Willian if he leaves

Why are we replacing Willian here? Great player. Will be very important for us, again.

The Times are reporting this now as well. If this did happen, it would be interesting to see how we react depending on the money they offer us. Not a lot of days left to replace him but I wouldn't put it past us selling him for a silly fee.

Wouldn't be against this move, should be fairly easy to replace his output too.

Big Willian fan, hope we don't sell. Big compliment for Willian though if Barca consider him a worthy replacement for Neymar, may well happen, as I can imagine Willian would love to play along side Suarez and Messi. 

If we sell we would need a replacement lined up, i would consider Sanchez or Griezmann an upgrade, we could also go in for Dembele, a younger player with a higher ceiling, but of about the same level right now, Mahrez would be a like for like replacement, or if we used the money plus extra for Belotti that would be fine, we would likely see a bit of a different formation though. 

If we sold him we'd need 2 replacements because we have a tiny ass squad.

He has previously stated he wants to stay in the UK for passport reasons. Barcelona would be tempting, though I'd think if we gave any encouragement to a bid by Barca we might find Mourinho would counter that bid and that might be more appealing to Willian. 

It's too late in the window to get anyone of similar quality...and even if we find someone we'll have to pay through the nose to get him and then he'll need time to get into the Conte method...all in all, I can't see anything happening...

There's no way I would consider Mahrez or Dembele an improvement on Willian. Hope he stays, he's one of our better players IMO and his work rate is one of the best too.

What about if Willian went to Aresnal ?

I could not bare to think of him playing for any of our rivals.

Willian has turned down Man United so I imagine he'll turn down Barca as well.

Not sure he turned them down, I think I read that his agent was talking to them earlier in the summer, but Chelsea said he wasn't for sale.

Always find it funny when people are like "oh 100M and its a yes from me".

Like A) That person will personally get a share of that money
or B) They know exactly where the club will spend that money

It's not a given that making a surplus in the transfer markets means it gets spent in that window or in future windows.  I see it all the time, people adding up the sales of recent players and then asking where X amount of money is?

Anyway, back on topic, I agree with the poster earlier who said he is one of those players you won't know you had until he's gone.

Our squad is threadbare as it is.

We need to sign players, not sell them.
