Luiz and Oscar were excellent as well.

Cahill.

 

Cech was a close second.

 

Ramires may edge it.

Cech, only just ahead of Cahill, who was only just had of Torres, Oscar, Hazard and Schurrle.............. Oh yeah Cole and Luiz were just behind them.

Oscar for me,but Cech,Cole,Cahill and Luiz played very well also.Not at all down about the performance as i think we will improve dramatically under Jose in a short space of time.

Surprised no one mentioned Hazard though? Instrumental in our first goal and score a great 2nd one

Cech, without a shadow of a doubt. 

Got to be Cech.  I thought he could have done better for Ribery's goal though, was his view blocked or something?  He more than redeemed himself in the rest of the game though.

Oscar. He didn't stop running for 120 minutes!

Cahill, he was unbelievable, defended with everything he had.

Really difficult to choose a stand out player for me as I think they all stuck to Jose's game plan superbly, first half for me Shuurle was giving them nightmares, Hazard as well and I can see some hard times ahead for defenders against them,

 

Oscar again put in a performance that belies his age, great little player, Defenders all good with standout being Cahill but Luiz and Cole also good, not even taking anything away from Ivan who had a lot to do over there.

 

Ramires did break up play and he and Frank had a lot of work to do that among the technically gifted players doesn't stand out so much in fact I wouldn't say anyone wasn't decent in the game, glad to include Torres in that as well.

 

Cahill does shade it though as much down to the way the game panned out and Shuurle/Hazard being subbed as he was any better than them.

 

Cech is as good as he ever was.

 

There's good things to come from this lot and the rest of the squad

Oscar was the hardest worker, took on three Bayern players at a time and kept the ball, and lashed his penalty into the upper corner. Cech would've been MOTM if he had saved a penalty and given Chelsea the advantage in the shootout.

Cech should not be MOTM based on his inability to stop a single penalty.

Cech for his saves in extra time alone.

I did not vote Cech since none of his saves were earth-shattering to me.  All were very good, mind you, but not of the stupendous ilk.  I kind of fault him just a tiny bit for not getting his hand on Ribery's shot from distance, but I know that I may be too harsh on that one.  Also, he should have kept Squiachi's penalty out, after having got a hand to it.   I voted Hazard, which I know is a minority opinion.

Everyone played their part but my top three were Oscar, Cech and Hazard. I'll give it to Oscar just because of how hard he worked, constantly up and down the pitch making crucial tackles, interceptions and passes.

Wouldn't say our best, he still had to beat the keeper and a retreating defender. The two headers from Ivan and Luiz were a lot more clear cut, either side of Neuer and they would have been goals.

Cech kept us in it the match - FCB had so many quality chances - just couldn't beat Cech

Cech,Luiz,Cahill,Rambo until he was sent off.Most of the team was sublime.
