Your most celebrated goal?

Featured Replies

Thinking of Torres goal vs City has led me to start this topic, what's your most celebrated goal? I'd have to say mine was Torres vs Barca, as I felt too sick during penalties in Munich!

King DD in Munich, the header not the penalty.

I remember sitting in sorrow and then when it came all of my beer flew over the bar table, amazing moment.

Drogba vs Munich for sure, Torres vs Barca. Ivanovic vs Benfica EL final.

I went pretty mental when Torres scored today to be honest, really wanted him to do well and he was a bit quiet in the second half.

Got to agree with Rob there about Wayne Bridge's goal. What a great feeling and a massive turning point in the club.

Duff's vs Barca in 05 was incredible. You could just feel the adrenaline.

Torres vs Barca. I couldn't believe it and just went nuts, I was too nervous in the final.

I don't know what it is aboit the Champions League but it is beautiful.

I love both of your other shouts, but I like JT's goal more than Duffs ;) Torres silencing the Nou Camp...priceless. What about Essien's 75 yard run then pass to DD vs Valencia in the Mestalla? That was a great feeling even though it was a draw.

I think I cheered for Torres vs Barca more than Drogba in Munich, it was just such a god damn relief after being on the verge of a heart attack for over an hour, and his run to goal seemed to take 20 minutes as I was watching it expecting him to stuff it up, only for him to go around Valdes and roll it into the net.

I honestly believed we were going to win the final even after Muller's goal, there was just no way we'd gone that far and weren't going to win.

The one I love the most was when Lampard scored "that" goal over Valdes it's probably my favorite Chelsea goal, Ramires is a close second for that delicious move which involved Lamps and Mata

Live - Didi's last minutes goal against Hull in 09/10 and Nico's opener in the 8-0 Wigan win.

TV - Lampard's first against Bolton 04/05, Bridge vs. Arsenal 03/04 and Lampard's bullet against Spuds at Wembley 11/12 (either made it 3-1 or 4-1...)

Good times.

Drogba's header in Munich didn't make me go nuts, but rather gain a bit of resolve to be calm and watch the rest. His penalty didn't make me go nuts...I just sunk to the floor and sat there in disbelief for at least 10 minutes.

However, Torres' goal at Camp Nou, even though we would have been through on away goals made me lose my sh*t. It was beautiful.

However, neither of them beat the celebrations when my Aussie team (at their home game I was at), in the Grand Final, scored in the last minute of extra time, to draw the match 2-2. Literally the last play of the match. Never heard anything like it. Won on penalties...it was the best thing I've ever been at the stadium for. Obviously I wish I was in England to be at Stamford Bridge...but I love Brisbane just as much, and that goal had 50,000 people going nuts.

There are plenty of goals I can think of but these are some I can remember:

1). Torres v Man City (2013)

2). Drogba's header and penalty v Bayern Munich (2012)

3). Lampard's record-breaking goal v Aston Villa (2013)

4). Ivanovic's goal in the Europa Cup Final v Benfica (2013)

5). Torres's last-minute v Barcelona (2012)

6). Dixon v Arsenal (1984)

7). Lampard (title-winning goal) v Bolton (2005)

8). Makelele's goal v Charlton (2005)

9). Joe Cole's thunderbolt v Man Utd (2006)

10). Tiago's rocket v Man Utd (2005)

11). Gudjohnson's bicycle kick v Leeds (2003)

12). Di Matteo in the 1997 FA Cup Final v Middlesborough (1997)

13). Drogba's extra time goal in the FA Cup Final v Man Utd (2007)

At a match, probably Hughes against Vicenza in the Cup Winners Cup semi-final, scoring the goal that sent us to the final.

On TV, Drogba's penalty.

Cracking atmosphere that night. Not only was it the goal that got us to the final but it was a super goal

Some great shouts, going back one more is Peter Osgood's volley vs Arsenal.

And Lampard's strike vs Liverpool which, if I recall correctly, sent us to the CL final in 2008.

Utter euphoria...

Torres vs Barca for me. although his goal yesterday came close! that win makes me genuinely believe that we will win the title this year. huge goal

Any of the CL ones, going back though Mark Hughes against Liverpool in the FA Cup 97, he came on and changed the game. Zola's in the same game was spectacular too and we went on to start the amazing trophy run we are still on now!

Tough to say.

Some goals aren't really about celebration more about just being stunned. Ramires against Barca comes to mind for that.

Bridge at Highbury comes to mind. But here is one that sticks in my mind and that is Gronkjear against Liverpool to put us into the CL.

Probably our most important goal in my lifetime. Without it we wouldn't be the giants we are today. I was in the west upper that day even the upper tier was singing.

Drogbas penalty in music nearly destroyed my voice box!

A symphony playing Drogba's goals, luv it.

Many of the top have been mentioned but also 2 classic cup games

All four goals in the 4-2 Cup win vs liverpool especially the last 2 Vialli ones

Dan Petrescu's 3rd in the 3-1 league cup win vs Arenal
