Since this was his 200th appearance for the Blues...Bison Essien gets my vote

The special Juan for me with Willian a close second.

Essien for me, although I thought they were all superb and could and should have probably got a third. Special mention for Juan, a true gent and a special player who will no doubt be hurt by not playing but does things the right way, top geezer.

One of those games more down to a team effort than anything else, i'll give it to Dave though for defending solidly all game, getting up and down the wing and getting the very important first goal.

Wow this isn't easy,so many candidates. I'm going for Mikel thought he was excellent he wont again any praise in the media for it though as per. Special mentions to Azpi,Ryan,Mata and Willian.

Essien for me. Could have gone to Mata, Bertrand, Willian or Cahill. Excellent performance all round.

 

Chelsea fans were incredible, don't think any Arsenal fans went in the end.

 

Also, Willian has inhuman levels of fitness, bombing around for the full 90. He hates Tottenham.

One of the hardest choices for a long time, so many contenders. Willian had an excellent first half, very good in the tackle and fast on the break. Mata was just Mata, bison strong but I thought a little off the pace (not surprising really), Bertie give a performance which shows that he is capable of standing in for Ash, dave just never stops running and smiling, Sczwaszer looked very assured.

My vote however goes to Mikel for his overall 90 minute contribution. Considering their midfield he kept them very quiet.

And to think he has been collecting money in Russia since January... Makes you wonder how much effin' fitter he can get.

 

Voted Willian because he was left back and left winger at the same time, and has a wonderful passing foot and drive with the ball.

Went for Mata, but special a mention to Willian who is working hard, and looks great when starting counter attacks.

 

Also, great performances from Mikel, Bertrand, Dave as well. I think it's now seriously time to start phasing out Lampard and using players like Mikel or Essien a bit more.

Willian for me, absolutely outstanding today.

Willian for me, every time someone was bombing back and nicking the ball it seemed like it was him and even late on his ball to Ba on the run on the break was perfect, he's surprising me being what I thought was a luxury player we really didn't need but giving something slightly different to the rest

of the gifted midfielders.

 

Loads of candidates though which is good and no real bad performers

A night of so many top performances it's hard to single out one. I voted Essien but Mikel, Willian, Mata & Bertrand were every bit as good.

bertrand was good but he was helped by a great effort from willian (also good going forwards) and the fact that myachi was (and maybe is) terrible. I don't think his performance was particularly outstanding. certainly if you look at the last two matches I think you'd have to say it is fair enough that ashley cole is still first choice. bit harsh as bertie has always been reliable, but that's life at a club with our ambitions.

 

everyone in the side played well really, thought mata, mikel and willian were out best.

 

went with mikel, particularly as he and essien were up against first choice arsenal midfielders in wilshere and ramsey.

Again if you read my previous post, I voted for Bison for his performance & the fact it was his 200th appearance for the Club. I am very happy w/ our #5.

Christ knows what the tv does for a performance but if it can make either essien or mata look good tonight i wish i was on Tele!

i voted for Dave but i agree Willian is looking like a very useful acquisition

Essen - looked like he hadn't missed a game this season - great to see him back

Great performances from all tonight. May I say, though, what a great acquisition Mark Schwarzer is.
