He has been very good. I hope the club sign a midfielder to challenge him next season though. Kante is arguably already irreplaceable, but an upgrade on Matic would take us to the next level (offensively).

Jesus, I spent most of last season referring to him as Zombie Matic but this season he's more like a machine, he's been brilliant in the past few games

Massive difference when your not covering the whole center mid alone in terms of defensive duties. Really rate fabregas but not in a midfield 2. Kante also looked pretty human next to him 

I really thought that Matic had lost it for good after last season and was reluctant to heap too much praise on him this season

after a couple of improved performances. However I now believe he has turned the corner, he was superb today and looks

hungry for the battle and seems to be enjoying it. Him and Kante forming a great partnership in the middle.

Unlike many here, am not surprised about his current form. He is that type of player that performs when the team is doing well but is awful when the team is struggling.

Has been very good this season and looks far more confident on the ball...Conte's arrival has clearly lifted him after Jose and hiddink destroyed him last season

maybe the team plays well when and because matic plays well.

Well I would like to put on the record that I was one of the ones slating him last season. He has shown me up with his recent performances, I don't mind eating a slice of humble pie when a player shows me up. He definitely seems to have his confidence back, it's good to see, long may it continue!

I really think fab ruined his mojo the man has no positioning last season was a horror show and especially for matic with kante he looks great again, one of the best in the business on his day.

Funny how people wanted him to move on after last season. It is a team game. Conte is pretty much underlining that fact currently.

So it's 'Matic in' then this week brothers and sisters? ;-)

Me too mate, I was all for selling him in the Summer.

Pass me a slice of that pie....it looks yummy.

Don't think I can put into words how much of job he is doing. Him and Kante work unbelievably hard. Would love to see and compare there running stats if anyone has a link?

Without these boys this system would fail completely.

Yep i was kinda losing faith but hoping he would get back his form man isn't he a beast again dominating the midfield with Kante

 

The Brazilians are starting to influence our Man in the Middle - I see Matic utilizing the backheel pass more often

You can see his confidence is high at the moment. Even in tight spots he coolly controls the ball. Not his best game against Boro but has been very very solid. 

As said a million times you need the whole team to work for Matic to succeed.

For me his form has dropped alot these last games. Today he was just jogging around at a distance from attacking Hull players and slow to distribute the ball.
