February 3, 201511 yr We've just got Ramires back to full fitness. We are allright. Salah was out of depth from minute one. Wont miss him at all. Probably hard being the only egyptian in the squad. Thanks Salah and good luck. I think Ramires has been just as bad as Salah. Under Jose he just hasn't been able to perform.
February 3, 201511 yr Author I think Ramires has been just as bad as Salah. Under Jose he just hasn't been able to perform. Don't agree with that at all, he's had injury problems this year whereas last year he gave some top top performances. Salah has given maybe one good performance since he arrived (admittedly I do think a lack of gametime never helped).
February 3, 201511 yr I think Ramires has been just as bad as Salah. Under Jose he just hasn't been able to perform. I agree I think ramires has underperformed for a long time. Was actually a liability towards the end of the season, with some poor discipline. Would stop short of saying he's been as bad as salah though!
February 4, 201511 yr I think Ramires has been just as bad as Salah. Under Jose he just hasn't been able to perform.Long term injury. But I agree last season he made an arse of himself with some reckless tackles. Under AVB he was constantly one of our best players so Ramires is a quality player. He is much better suited for counter attacking football in a 4-3-3 setup.
February 9, 201511 yr I was never a fan of Salah and while he was impressive against us last season in the Champions League when he played for FC Basel I could never understand why we signed him apart from that very reason for him performing very well against us last season. I thought it was a total waste of money and a mistake by Mourinho and the club to pursue him but I kept an open mind about it at the time, however as time has gone on he's proven to be a poor signing for the club. This move to Fiorentina is a good move for all parties concerned. Salah has been absolutely useless this season and maybe a new environment and change might galvanise him to play some good football. Who knows if he does well enough at Fiorentina we may have different attitudes about him come summer time.
February 15, 201511 yr Coolly taken one on one and an assist. Good start. I can see him thriving in (comparatively) pressure-free environment and consistent game time. Same as Debruyne, Schurrle... http://youtu.be/iSKG17qNT-4
February 15, 201511 yr His goal showed how dangerous he can be when allowed space behind the defence - he remains a speed merchant. I like Fiorentina so I hope he does do well for them.
February 15, 201511 yr Hehe, Noone's saying that, JSC, then again, in a league where Gervinho is top dog... He's very young still and was playing in Egypt and Switzerland prior to Chelsea. Massive step up. A lot of people have already decided he's complete garbage, but I think that's a bit hasty. @Darick. Fiorentina were my 'Italian team' from when I was growing up watching the Sunday morning Football Italia show on Channel 4. My brothers all had a team, I went for the one that had a flashy purple home strip and a certain long-haired Argentine goal machine. Have always looked out for their scores since. Batistuta, Rui Costa, Luis Oliveira, Thomas Repka... Just a peice of nostalgia from the days when Italian football was actually interesting (and superstars like Gervinho were nowhere to be seen)... GOOOALAZZO!!! On a good run, Fiorentina. Hope they smash Spurs and make the top 3. Edited February 15, 201511 yr by GhostOfDembaPast

Oh man a man after my own Heart, "Forza la viola" , and Batisuta was a goal scoring God, in my top 3 all time strikers?
February 16, 201511 yr Oh man a man after my own Heart, "Forza la viola" , and Batisuta was a goal scoring God, in my top 3 all time strikers? Almost signed for Chelsea when Vialli was in charge...
February 16, 201511 yr I find it interesting that Salahs good performance (isolated as it might be) is being put down to the quality and style of the Italian league, yet we have just signed a player for 25 million based on his performances in that same league.

So what you're saying is, is that Cuadrado is just a sh*t Mo Salah? Fiorentina saw us coming a mile away.
February 16, 201511 yr So what you're saying is, is that Cuadrado is just a sh*t Mo Salah? Fiorentina saw us coming a mile away. I Though salah could have done something with us, I certainly don't think he's sh*t by any means. I do think he was trying far to hard every chance he go, probably because he felt it would be his last. As I have said over and over, I haven't seen that much of Cuadrado. So I can't comment. The Italian league is 100% weaker then the BPL but it doesn't mean a player can't excel in both. For every kezman and (the fell that wen to borogh) there is an RVN and Suarez. I just don't know how wise it is to site the league as the reason a player is doing well or not.. alot more factors to it
February 16, 201511 yr It's hard for players to find form if they don't get a run of games regardless of the talent they have. Salah I can never remember getting 3-4 games on the bounce since he signed. At Chelsea if you have a poor game then it's likely you will be dropped for the next game because there are international class players waiting to take your place. The mental aspect of this must also be quite daunting on a player like Salah who was playing every week at his previous club. This might be the same case for Cuadrado. You need to work hard, take your chance and deliver if you are to make it as a regular in Jose Mourinho's sides.
February 22, 201511 yr Italian league is shockingly weak nowadays. Makes anyone look good. lol, we have just signed Cuadrado who played in the same league and the same team! Edited February 22, 201511 yr by lito
February 23, 201511 yr Couldn't hack the pressure at cfc..very much an example of enjoying being a bigger fish in small pond
February 23, 201511 yr Didn't get a fair shake here. It's the same story with players whom have left and succeeded elsewhere.
February 23, 201511 yr Couldn't hack the pressure at cfc..very much an example of enjoying being a bigger fish in small pond Did we even give him a chance?
February 23, 201511 yr I reckon it's a combination of more mins on the pitch and a weaker Italian league. That is 2 goals and 1 assist in 3 in a new league, Cuadrado had 4 goals and 4 assists in 17.
February 23, 201511 yr He's on a 6 month loan so he can always come back next season. That said I still don't think he'll ever be good enough to push for a place in our side.
