Yeah I know just needed to vent a little, as if we even considered selling Zouma that would be a big mistake IMO and I wouldn't swap Stones + £10m for Zouma let alone lose money on it. Although I do think Stones playing with Zouma would be an excellent combination.

We already have one with Terry, and Zouma wasn't even bad today, he could do nothing about the 2 goals, none of them were his fault. Are you forgetting all of the games he played for us last season ? he was good in pretty much every game he played.

I thought Zouma did well today - he was all over the pitch....in a Side Show Bob manner - still get got stuck in there & looked lively

He had to start against City in my opinion, he could bring Aguero into his pocket once again. 

I think he deserves a good run in the team now his pace should compliment Terry and we do need a bit of a reshuffle in defense I feel.

Jose pretty much admitted his mistake not picking Zouma. Maybe JT had a problem, but I thought Zouma would play a lot better with JT beside him.

Played well today i thought, i hope he starts to play more regularly now.

Mourinho seems more willing to drop Cahill and play Zouma compared to his stubborness regarding Ivanovic.  Zouma will play a lot of games this season.

After a shaky start he was good and won most of the aerial battles. Give him 3-4 starts and he will be more calm. Sure starter for our next match.

Well maybe 4 or 5 ;) I don't think we would ever see a 23 year old captain at Chelsea. But he has that potential, very glad to have him, top talent, top attitude, if only we could have the other young French CB, Mou should have went after him last season when he was feeling marginalised at RM 

I just think Zouma will steady the ship and after a while Mourinho will revert back to the JT-Cahill partnership just like he did last season

 

I personally am of the belief that our CB's are not the problem but Ivanovic is, he is being tormented on the right which is pulling one of the CB towards the right to cover for his incompetence which is creating huge gaps between the 2 CB's. Once we address the issue of the RB by replacing Ivanovic or if he magically rediscovers his form the defence should sort itself out.

 

As far as Zouma is concerned I do think he is an upgrade on Cahill but we have to remember he is very young in an incredibly physical league so its good to have him integrate into the team one step at a time. Hopefully he can get 20 games (Including Cup Games) under his belt for this season as a minimum. 

I think he should turn into a starter now. He always does a good job, he will gain experience and Jose will make him a world class defender, he has the potential.

Play him! Enough with slow defenses.

Watch the game back, Zouma made clearnces looks easy and seamless because he didn't have to work to get back in hte right place. This was one of my biggest problems with him when i first saw him play. It all seemed recovery Jaimi charrager style stuff. For me it show's he's learning

He's still quite shaky on the ball and can't get a good, quick pass out to up the tempo of our game, but for a no-nonsense brutish defender he's very good at what he does. Definitely needs a CB that is good on the ball next to him though.
