February 15, 201511 yr Stones right now is no better than our current defenders... but Stones in a couple of years time will be one of the best centre backs in europe in my opinion. the boy has so much potential
February 15, 201511 yr Would like to see Tomas Kalas in the squad next season, his first start against Liverpool last season was very impressive, as was his apperance against Cardiff last game of the season.

Yeah. Stones is so highly rated because he's had chances to prove it. We will never know what we have unless we give our promising youngsters the same chance.
February 16, 201511 yr Kalas can't get a game at Middlesboro by the look of it. Played in 4 of the last 6 he was eligible for. I like him as a player but I'm not so convinced of his potential that I think we shouldn't look at the possibility of getting Stones.
March 1, 201511 yr I must to get a video about his personal defending today. It's a lesson for my young defenders in the team. My friends say he's the new Thuram and Desailly, I personally think he's the new Zouma.
March 1, 201511 yr Quickly becoming one of my favourite players these days. Boys got it all and will run through walls for the shirt.
March 1, 201511 yr Improving all of the time. He's played in a few big games in his first season with the club and has looked comfortable every single time. Even when he get's moved out of position he looks good. He's 20 years old, has very little experience and is playing like he has been playing at the highest level for years................it's very good signs that he can go on to be top top player. France must be very excited to have 2 young CB's that are looking this good early in their careers.
March 1, 201511 yr Just need to get Varane alongside him next season and we're set for the next 10 years. :D
March 2, 201511 yr Anyone think he's testing zouma in central role in prep for PSG? We will need a solid midfield against them for sure.
March 2, 201511 yr At twenty years of age, what a prospect.Got an old head on his shoulders(just like Courtois),which i really like.Excellent buy.
March 2, 201511 yr JT got the plaudits because of the goal but for me Zouma was our MOM yesterday. Excellent in a position he hasnt played before. Tottenham just didnt look like scoring, even when they tried to pick up the pace in the last 5 he was everywhere.

March 2, 201511 yr No? We'll have matic back But along with who? You think we'll play ramires and fab alongside him? If so, I'd rather zouma than rami in the midfield and maybe gives matic a little more room to move forward if he wants. We got overrun in midfield last leg and they'll likely have their other players back.
March 2, 201511 yr looked decidedly ropey pre season - mourinho himself highlighted that the start to his chelsea career wasnt great. But he's knuckled down, got on with it, and has grown into this team and cant be far away from being an automatic pick for chelsea's strongest XI. He's so unbelievably fast, can pick a pass and I f**king love it when he goes through the ball and takes the man with him. Seriously old school in his challenges sometimes - but totally fair. Dont think he's been booked yet.... or have i missed him getting a card?

Very happy with Kurt yesterday but wonder where this leaves Ake. Either way he stepped up and continued to progress but his future is surely in defence.

Tottenham just didnt look like scoring, even when they tried to pick up the pace in the last 5 he was everywhere. said it elsewhere, but the sky pundits actually said 'Chelsea won it in spite of Zouma, not because of him'. spat out my night-cap last night when I watched it back after getting home from wembley
March 2, 201511 yr Zouma's response to comparisons between him and Desailly: "That is a lovely thing, what the boss said, [but] it is too early to say that because Marcel Desailly is a legend of Chelsea. I have only played about 10 games and I am 20 years old. I loved to watch him play. He was an amazing performer and important for us. I have to keep working hard. I have to improve every day. I have never met Marcel Desailly but one day I hope I will see him. When I signed for Chelsea I knew that we had to play in some big games, some finals, but I never dreamed that I would be playing in the middle in midfield. The manager told me two days before the game that I was going to play there. That was very exciting because then I knew I would be playing in a final at Wembley. It was enough for me to play there, I am a centre-back but if the manager said to me that I have to play centre-back, left-back, striker or keeper I would play there because I want to help the team. The most important thing was that we won the title. Everyone is happy." I f**king love this guy, he has such a brilliant attitude, is incredibly likeable, seems to adore the club and will surely become a magnificent footballer (hopefully at Chelsea). He is humble and fully aware that he must keep improving and frankly seems delighted just to have been given the opportunity. I wish every youngster in football was like Kurt Zouma.
March 2, 201511 yr He's certainly someone who you can't help but like. Watching him you can tell he's a very humble and grounded young man, he always seems very grateful for being able to play at Chelsea and it won't be hard work or effort that lets this boy down because he has it in abundance.
