May 19, 201610 yr Conte was intelligent enough to see that Terry will still provide so much to the club through his leadership and his ability as a defender. It was clearly a no-brainer that he would stay and Conte merely reconfirmed what we were all thinking.
May 19, 201610 yr If he was then it would be a great way to get fans on side early on. Not only that but it would mean we haven't forced a player on him that he might not necessarily want, and he has enough confidence and clout with the board to keep JT.
May 19, 201610 yr Author Would be nice to see one of the legends of the Roman era retire at the club.

May 19, 201610 yr Would be nice to see one of the legends of the Roman era retire at the club. (Unfortunately there don't seem to be any pictures of him and Paulo standing next to each other.)
May 19, 201610 yr I've seen a few... Ah, Mrlsh, I miss him. Edited May 19, 201610 yr by Charles Ryder
May 19, 201610 yr Great news, well done JT ! Reports are saying he has taken a 90k / week cut and snubbed lucrative deals in China, hats off JT ! The Sun are reporting he's taken a 100k per week cut to stay. What a man. Taking a 100k per week pay cut isn't a big deal when you're making 150k. Or at least it shouldn't be if you have common sense in terms of personal finance. I think he was on 150k before, so this would bring him down to 50-60 which is very reasonable and appropriate in my opinion. I'm thrilled that he and the board were able to both see it that way. How far along is he in his UEFA coaching badges? It takes 5 years to complete all the levels.
May 19, 201610 yr How far along is he in his UEFA coaching badges? It takes 5 years to complete all the levels. Having second thoughts apparently? Without wishing to cast aspersions perhaps he's genuinely just focused on playing atm http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-icon-john-terry-throws-7502278

I totally disagree but at the end of the day he's staying, and that's all that really matters. Edited May 19, 201610 yr by Adam
May 19, 201610 yr /\ I admire JTs non greed. Consider that greedy, immoral, sex offender who carried on playing.

May 20, 201610 yr Would be interesting to see what role he will be playing with his extended contract. I think he owes us another good season after the 2015/16 travesty.
May 20, 201610 yr Would be interesting to see what role he will be playing with his extended contract. I think he owes us another good season after the 2015/16 travesty. As far as a player goes, JT owes us nothing, what utter drivel !
May 21, 201610 yr You cannot ever question his commitment and he has nothing to prove but I reckon next year JT's going to roll back the years and start playing like a 24 year old again just like Zola did in his last year. He's wants the club to be in a stronger position before he leaves.
July 8, 201610 yr Anyone follow JT in Instagram? Not quite sure what to think of his posts.... Sort of awkward some of the posts... Today he is doing push-ups on a beach...
July 8, 201610 yr Author Anyone follow JT in Instagram? Not quite sure what to think of his posts.... Sort of awkward some of the posts... Today he is doing push-ups on a beach... He's the best Chelsea player on social media, gives you a genuine insight into the life of a professional footballer.
July 8, 201610 yr He's the best Chelsea player on social media, gives you a genuine insight into the life of a professional footballer. From Instagram I understand it involves being on a yacht a lot. Are his kids free from school already?
July 8, 201610 yr He shows his chest alot and some unknown character takes pictures of him and the wife. Maybe it is the general style of portraying himself that puts me off a bit. Anyway, not a big deal.
July 8, 201610 yr Love JT. The first yard being in the head, with top coaching under Conte, Terry could be a revelation next season imo. Cahill and Zouma can continue their tutelage under him too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

July 8, 201610 yr Probably.. A bit.. How do I say.. Forced. He is 35 and probably not the most savvy when it comes to insta and such. How silly of me, of course anyone over the age of 30 is obviously a moron when it comes to using social media...
