Ramires - anyone else frustrated?

Featured Replies

Where the hell did that goal come from? the guy can't even pass a football sometimes.

We play him when he's poor but when he's in good form he's used sparingly...

He has scored a few of those in his time so it's definitely in his locker and not down to luck. With Cesc playing the way he is now, Ramires deserves a chance. Mikel should get a look in ahead of Matic if he doesn't improve soon too.

Just because we've spent a few million bringing in new players doesn't mean they have a God given right to be fielded every game. Players like Fabregas, Matic, Hazard, Ivanovic must be dropped. Let players like Ramires come in and show us what a bit of heart and passion can do.

Granted his midweek performance was against a league one side. However given the form of our other midfield players I thought he had earned a starting posistion today. He changed the dynamic of the game today.

Fantastic player. May his form continue.

I'm the first to criticise Ramires but based on the cup game, today's performance and the other midfielders under-performing the man deserves a chance to start. He changed the game and won us that point.

People were moaningh about Jose bringing him on and now suddenly he should be a nailed on starter...20 minutes of good in recent memory seems to be worth a lot but once players lose a bit of form, all the good things they done are soon forgotten.

Lucky Managers get paid millions as its a thankless task otherwise.

Rami done well today and is a good squad player, well worth a start in my opinion but if he doesn't have the same impact I'm sure there will be another player that definately should have started in his place.

Does his name start with L, end in K and have 'oftus chee' in the middle?

Surprises me, he's not been first choice for a couple of years now and if the club are serious about developing RLC they shouldn't be blocking his path.

I know you can't have a full squad of superstars but Ramires and Mikel both having long deals has hindered our midfield overhaul (in my opinion).

I'm surprised it's four years, especially for a player whose game is so reliant on pace (which will decline naturally), although I suppose there is an argument to be made that we are trying to bump up his value if this Pogba-Cuadrado/Ramires switcheroo does take place.

He's a fantastic SQUAD player. Professional, realiable and works hard for the team. Yes he's technically poor on the ball but he's been a great buy. Good lad.

I don't have a problem with him getting a new deal. Technically, he's limited. However he does bring lots of energy and directness.  The problem was after that good cameo against Newcastle, Jose decided to play him in deep holding position, just not his game.

Four years is way too generous for a technically limited player like Ramires whose strongest attribute is endless running around and he will be over thirty in two years time. If Pogba is going to barca there is not much sense in this deal

Probably will use him as a deal sweeter trying to get Pogba as was suggested above. However he is a good squad player and one of our best players this sad season.

Ramires is a great athlete with great stamina, but technically is pretty poor. Fabregas is the opposite. Matic is a good, but not great, mix of Ramires and Fabregas.

None of them would have got in the Chelsea first team midfield when Lamps, Essien, Maka, Duff etc were playing.

None of them are world beaters in their respective positions. It is a problem.

Vidal would've been a top signing.

Yup, but for almost the same money we got Baba Rahman who cant even win a spot in our, currently, comically tragic defense.... oh, but we did sell a LB for cheaper who actually would of been slotted in during these tough times and has shown they could make a difference.

I'd be f**king livid if I was our manager.
