If we sell Luiz i think we should just have faith in him, he was class tonight and is learning from the best.

Between Kalas and Dave for me, I'll give it to Kalas because it was his debut. Matic and Schwarzer were great as well, tough decision.

Kalas for me as he had really risen to the occasion on his first start, wasn't bothered by it being a big game at all.

Really good disciplined performance from everyone today, I'm struggling to pick one player out, I might have to see it again when my nerves are calmer to make a choice.

Schwarzer. With Cech's injury he could turn out to be our most important signing this season. Didn't cost a penny either.

Schwarzer definitely. Didn't look troubled at all. Apart from Allen's volley and Suarez' late strike, he dealt with everything comfortably.

I've left out Mikel. Much maligned Mikel.

 

I've just read he made 10 clearances all good ones, and blocked 4 shots. That is herculean stuff.

could be anyone of four or five but I am going for Kalas. Great debut under tough conditions playing in a suppoesed weakened side and should have scored moments before Ba's goal. Big mention for Shwarzer, Ivan, Dave, Matic and John Obi. Ashley Cole looks like he's been playing all season, another master class from argiuably a player who is still the best left back in the world.............................

Like Chippy will have to watch it again as I missed large chunks of the match by going walk about. Initial feelings are that Schwarzer looked very assured and his kicking was superb. Ivan and Azpilicueta where their usual, Cole and Lampard showed great experience in settling things down, Matic was a giant in midfield, Ba scored and although should have down better with some passes he generally held the ball up well and was our best option to start. Currently being swayed towards Kallas, great debut by the young man, played like a veteran.

Had the same lonely job as Torres last week against Atletico and was simply superb. Held the ball up and brought others in to play. Was fouled all afternoon by Sakho and Skirttel and never got one 50/50 decision, not a single one, from Martin Atkinson. And when the chance came, was absolutely ice cold with the finish. Brilliant.

Kalas, could of easily been our regular back 4 today, looked no different, showed class and composure and it was his debut.

Special mentions for Ivan and Schwarzer, to be honest the whole team. Big credit for Cole as well, looks like he's never been away, I'd still take him World Cup.

Other than the strikers we do have a brilliant squad, in the past its just been our first 11, most of the team today wouldn't be our first 11 but were pure class

Think Lampard shouldn't be forgotten.

The man is 36 and played midweek against Atletico, and he hardly put a foot wrong today.
