November 28, 201411 yr I was hoping their shirts were going to be emblazoned with something like YOU BURNT OUR FACTORY DOWN or something like that. On that point, the police have called the fire 'suspicious'. It does seem an unlikely coincidence that the only business blocking the WHL redevelopment has had this happen.
November 28, 201411 yr Once I watch it again, the first guy was made to look like Messi with that poor defending ... I mean security Looks like the security watch Spurs play too often
November 28, 201411 yr Roy Keane has left his assistant manager role at Aston Villa by his own request. Why people bother employing him anymore is lost on me... He's a cry baby, drama queen.
November 28, 201411 yr Hilarious stuff, that pitch invasion! It was just a bit of fun, they shouldn't have done it of course. But hats off to the black guy who managed to stay on the pitch for about 2 minutes, taking selfies with various players before being escorted off by the inept stewards.
November 28, 201411 yr Roy Keane has left his assistant manager role at Aston Villa by his own request. Why people bother employing him anymore is lost on me... He's a cry baby, drama queen. One of those guys who are mouthy and can't seem to get along with people. I think he has almost nothing to offer to a football club. He was excellent player but he needs his head checked. He has achieved absolutely nothing since he quit football.
November 28, 201411 yr Arsenal have fallen a long way behind Chelsea in all aspects of their youth set up and made a “big mistake” by appointing an overseas academy manager to replace Liam Brady – that is the verdict of Terry Burton, who left his position as head of coaching at the London club in the summer and is now West Bromwich Albion’s technical director. Burton, who had two previous spells at Arsenal, including a highly successful period as the club’s youth coach during a golden era in the 1980s that saw Tony Adams, David Rocastle, Michael Thomas, Paul Davis, Paul Merson and Martin Keown come through, applied for Brady’s job but was overlooked. Steve Morrow, Arsenal’s head of scouting for the youth academy, also missed out. After two interviews for the post, the second with Ivan Gazidis, the Arsenal chief executive, Burton eventually learned that Andries Jonker, a Dutchman who was assistant manager at Wolfsburg at the time, was going to be appointed as Brady’s replacement. Burton was bitterly disappointed with that decision and in January told Arsène Wenger – who had informed him that he played no part in the selection process – that he would leave the club at the end of the season, two years after he had rejoined as reserves and head development coach. “I wasn’t going to stay there without a purpose and I couldn’t see one,” Burton said in an interview with the Guardian. “I still think they’ve made a big mistake. I think if it wasn’t me, there’s good people out there that they could have put in. “It’s a massive job. There’s a lot of work to be done there. Arsenal, with respect, have fallen behind. They just weren’t working hard enough, like Chelsea. They’ve got the best pathway, because they’ve got Arsène Wenger, who gives young players a chance, better than any other club. But the processes, and things that had just been missing over a period of years, Chelsea had steamed ahead in their recruitment and all aspects of it really. That gap can close. But it’s too soon to tell. The guy there ... you’ll have a better idea in five years.” Barton maintains that Gazidis had no need to look overseas for a successor to Brady. “I told him: ‘I think you’re mad. I think you’ve got it wrong. If ever you were going to get it right, I was the best person to do it.’ I knew the club, I knew the players that we’d got and didn’t have. I knew from under-12s right the way through. “I went to see Arsène, and Arsène said he’d had nothing to do with it – he hadn’t signed his contract at that time. I told Arsène in the January that I would leave in the summer. He said: ‘Don’t go, I’d like you to stay’. But I didn’t want to work under someone else. I was prepared to do it because it was Liam Brady, but not someone brought in from outside.” http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/nov/27/terry-burton-arsenal-chelsea-youth-development

November 28, 201411 yr Ozil is on the shortlist for FIFA World XI Midfielder of the year... Really?! Here's the ful list. Can't believe that Ozil is on the list. No Matic either. Who draws up these lists? Midfielders of the year shortlist: Xabi Alonso (Bayern Munich); Angel Di Maria (Manchester United); Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea); Eden Hazard (Chelsea); Xavi Hernandez (Barcelona); Andres Iniesta (Barcelona); Toni Kroos (Real Madrid); Luka Modric (Real Madrid); Mesut Ozil (Arsenal); Andrea Pirlo (Juventus); Paul Pogba (Juventus); James Rodriguez (Real Madrid); Bastian Schweinsteiger (Bayern Munich); Yaya Toure (Manchester City); Arturo Vidal (Juventus).
November 28, 201411 yr Found out who did the pitch invasion Can't believe people are getting up tight about this, if it were at Chelsea and IF the game actually was abandoned then maybe it would of gone to far but as it is I found it quite amusing.

Am I blind or is Ozil on there ahead of David Silva?
November 28, 201411 yr What a bunch of prats. The occasional interruption isn't too bad but if this becomes a trend then I'd like football stadiums to have snipers installed in the upper tiers to take down pitch invaders. Now there's something I'd find amusing.

If it had been at Stamford Bridge I would have been livid. But as it was a Spurs game, I found it quite hilarious! (sorry, Spuddy!) What a bunch of prats. November 28, 201411 yr To be fair, that fat bloke can run. He looks like an athlete compared to the stewards. I hope this does not spark any copies as the novelty will wear off v quickly!
November 28, 201411 yr 5 of the top 7 managers in PL history in their first 12 games in charge of a team are ours, don't know how I feel about that.
November 28, 201411 yr Deep down, everyone has really wanted to go on a legendary pitch run and vault over a half dozen stewards before giving a few of the players a hug and running off down the tunnel. When I went to the match at the Bridge last year, one of the gentlemen I met suggested that I streak onto the pitch with the Stars and Stripes coming out of my butt. I laughed that that, and of course, politely declined. I guess they thought it would be funny.

Just like the defender shortlist this one is just as bias. Pretty much the whole of the first 11 of Real Madrid and Barcelona are on these lists. I f**king hate the love FIFA and UEFA has for these 2 teams. Also, where is Bale ? will he be on the forwards list ? if he is then i don't understand how this list works, he plays as winger, if they are going to put Bale on the list of fowards then Hazard should be listed as a foward too since he is also a winger. They're pricks plain and simple. It takes absolutely no effort for someone to run on a pitch and film it, and you'll always get an audience of window lickers who will be amused by such things, but it just takes the piss to have three stoppages due to idiots like this. People pay their money to see football, not talentless c**ts trying to get publicity for themselves because they haven't got the talent to do it any other way.

November 28, 201411 yr Who on earth picks that? Ozil, really? They can't be totally bonkers. There's no Gerrard. Or Wilshere. Or Henderson. Or Cleverly. But Ozil is a joke selection.
