November 13, 201411 yr Mr Rodgers grew up in a Catholic part of Northern Ireland and even played hurling (though his parents were of a mixed marriage i should add) some Chelsea fans are anti Irish bigots so I would imagine a minority of people do dislike him solely because he was born on the island across the sea. Wait, he played hurling?? Why didn't I know this sooner. Now I really hate the guy!

Dont be so bloody stupid, I dislike him because he`s a bullsh*tter. Why does someone always have to bring religion or nationality into it with utter sh*te like that.

November 13, 201411 yr Mr Rodgers?? Is that the equivalent of "They call me Mister Tibbs?" Or the talking horse Mr. Ed?
November 13, 201411 yr The amazing Brendan Rodgers, so amazing that he has still not won a single major trophy in his managerial career... I'm sure if he asks nicely Jose will let him touch one of his League winners medals
November 13, 201411 yr I dislike him because he's a media whore though not quite so much this season for some odd reason?
November 13, 201411 yr Brendan I care not one iota your Irish, as you bring so much laughter into my life especially this season, say something now I'm feeling low.
November 13, 201411 yr It is all for the new girlfriend http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2014/06/22/article-0-1EFFC55800000578-169_634x522.jpg Look at those big, freckly, catholic, bogman arms. Really his teeth should be crooked and yellow like the rest of the Paddies.

I don't think that is particularly prominent at Chelsea these days Curtis. People dislike Rodgers cause he is a cringey tw*t who whined after we beat them last season. "That isn't the way football should be played"...as if he has the pedigree of Johan Cruyff. Then this season he went to Real Madrid and settled for damage limitation. November 16, 201411 yr I don't care that Brendan Rodgers is Irish-he can Aleutian for all I care. We don't like him because he's annoying and doesn't know when to shut up. Add to that, he managers LFC. As an aside, he looks quite a bit like an Army mate of mine, except my mate is younger, slimmer, and has more hair.
November 16, 201411 yr ^ That's it in a nutshell SG! What is your familial background please? I'm guessing German? I am English as far back as we can go which at present is to 1776. That was an important year for the USA!

November 16, 201411 yr The old Spuds lost the American colonies! We could have known :-) Lol :-) We're struggling going to Europe so you can see why we couldn't manage the US!
November 17, 201411 yr ^ That's it in a nutshell SG! What is your familial background please? I'm guessing German? I am English as far back as we can go which at present is to 1776. That was an important year for the USA! I'm Irish and Scottish on my mother's side, and Irish, English, and German on my dad's. Or so I'm told. My ancestry is difficult to trace because my mom's grandparents (my mom's mom's parents) grew up in orphanages, and my mom's maiden name was a very common surname for the area her dad lived (Troy, New York). Add to that, my surname is common as well. For those of you who are wondering, the Aleuts are an indigenous people from Alaska.
November 23, 201411 yr BR after a thrashing at Selhurst Park today. “It’s my responsibility as the manager, ultimately. I put the team out there, the best team to win us the game. We made a good start. You could see our passing was a wee bit tentative, and then we make mistakes. Mistakes you wouldn’t expect to see from a team that’s supposed to be challenging." Challenging??? - You're 12th in the league. I hope Brendan doesn't get the sack - every week he and his team are the gift that just keeps on giving...
November 23, 201411 yr I'm afraid Brendan's weeks are numbered, could be the first managerial casualty of Christmas.
November 23, 201411 yr Actually felt a bit sorry for the guy today. He has set himself up but it's like kicking a guy when he's down. Him and pool deserve each other but I think there days together are numbered.
