PloKoon13 Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 Here's a good one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29397807 "Steven is selfless and would rather let other people have the opportunity. He let Mario Balotelli take a few free-kicks in the first half and I was screaming on for him to take them because he has so much quality." I'm starting to enjoy Brendan Rodgers, he's quite entertaining if you assume he is on the wind-up. Jonty, andy and dkw 3
DoubleHelix Posted September 29, 2014 Posted September 29, 2014 (edited) Here's a good one: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29397807 I'm starting to enjoy Brendan Rodgers, he's quite entertaining if you assume he is on the wind-up. Haha, that's just what I thought. Gerrard is freaking rubbish until the game slows down to Stevie Me speed. That speed us basically being idle on free kicks and/or penalties. With that said, I find it hilarious that Rodgers and the rest of the Scouse nation feels he is still on the top of his game. Rodgers for me is such a dooshbag! MissouriBlue Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Did anyone see him on 'Being: Liverpool'? Has to be one of the most cringeworthy things I've ever seen. Reminds me of the office yet it's real......the David Brent of football managers. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WX8dM_pZC7M WeatherMan, SHELLY and CFCflynn 3

Talk about playing up for the camera
carrickblue Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 not a quote really but shameful all the same...Sturridge can be fit for Liverpool at the weekend but will be "injured" immediately afterwards. Good of Brendan to tell everyone up front. I thought UEFA could insist players are released for their country if they're called up and fit http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/sep/30/brendan-rodgers-daniel-sturridge-liverpool-england
dkw Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 What a sack of sh*t he is, all those new players and yet he us still reliant on one player.
abigsmurf Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I would love for the FA to call his bluff and hand Sturridge a 3 match ban. Don't think they have the guts though. Rodgers acts like he's the only manager who's ever had to deal with players getting injured on international duty. If you don't want players to get injured, perhaps don't play them for 120 minutes mid-week then 90 minutes at the weekend? All this crap about specialised light training regimes. There's no way Sturridge would have 3 nights rest and then only a light training session between a game at the weekend and a Champions League game. He's as much England's player as Liverpool's player, if he doesn't like that, he's free to have his club play in a non-FIFA league.
JM7 Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Not looking good for his "philosophy" is it. Struggling in the league and in the CL. They really were a one season wonder. Couldn't happen to a nice club. Edited October 1, 2014 by JM7 Hitsu and Beerqueen 2

Liverpool should have every right to release him or not according to their own medical assessments.
Eight Times Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Not looking good for his "philosophy" is it. Struggling in the league and in the CL. They really were a one season wonder. Couldn't happen to a nice club. And even then they only managed a runners up spot. I know it's been said before, but I am so happy they didn't win it.
Beerqueen Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 And even then they only managed a runners up spot. I know it's been said before, but I am so happy they didn't win it. It can never be said enough times. It's great to be able to say that Blackburn have won the PL more than Liverpool! WeatherMan 1
Jonty Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I wonder if Liverpool fans think Brenda sounds like a perennial twat too.
PL2 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 A caller on radio 5, after their game last night, saying he should be sacked if they don't make top 4 this season. Taken them as far as he can apparently.
Paul70 Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 Took this from another chelsea fan site...had to share this SHELLY 1
yorkleyblue Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 England don't play his wages. Liverpool should have every right to release him or not according to their own medical assessments. But that ain't how the rules is writ!
WeatherMan Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 I wonder if Liverpool fans think Brenda sounds like a perennial twat too. Quite posssibly, but they have a way of dealing with such dissent over on RAWK......they lock all the topics and hand out bans on a scale that North Korea would blush at. Seriously. SHELLY 1
Mr Pink Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 It can never be said enough times. It's great to be able to say that Blackburn have won the PL more than Liverpool! But it's only that in name isn't it? What changed about the actual game when the Chairmen sold out, apart from crap kick off times, increased ticket prices etc? The game itself was fundamentally the same. If we want to split hairs, somebody on here referred to how you'd won the European Cup, well using the 'you've never won the Premier League' analogy, you haven't ever actually won the European Cup, and never will. But it's all just a pay on words really, although the CL did actually have some changes such as group stages. The PL is the same as the First Division used to be, albeit more of a closed shop, with far less chance of surprise winners.

Mr Pink Posted October 2, 2014 Posted October 2, 2014 This is all well and good, but the question remains: Have you f**k! Enjoy it. I'm not arsed anymore. I saw them win the old first division plenty of times. Anything else now would be very nice, but sitting in a ground that seems to be getting overrun with day tripper wools is becoming less and less appealing, and that would just get worse if they do win it, as I'm sure you're finding out now at the Bridge.
