Rio calls JT an idiot over 'that' incident

And cashes in on supposed turmoil to sell books and gets paid for serialisation in national paper...also like his token admission of his choc ice racist comment...as far as idiots go, pot and kettle spring to mind...why dig this all up again if it was so painful... unless you're trying to make money out of it

Agreed. I find it hard to believe that “Anton and I would’ve accepted that (if JT had admitted to it) – instead he never gave us a chance".

Now, that's what I would have liked to read....

Very crass, unprofessional and rather undignified... Basically everything we have come to expect from Rio.

If it was such a painful and difficult period for Ferdinand family why drag it all back up again three years later.

I expect the backlash to be towards JT though who never speaks out in public on private matters, a somewhat dignified choice that has rather ironically caused JT a lot of grief.

"There were bullets in the post," Ferdinand said. "My mum had her windows smashed and bullets put through her door, and ended up in hospital because of the stress."

What a truly odious human being. No decent person would ever bring their mother into the public foray like that, especially with such lies, and especially just for some media attention. It also seems to be completely lost on our moronic friend that he ceded the 'high ground' with his 'choc ice' comment. There are no words for how much of a hypocrite and a pig he is.

After it dawned on Rio that he's a useless, big-mouthed old crock with no future in the game and without the required number of braincells (two) to go into management, he seems to have made one final pathetic attempt to grab people's attention by bringing apparently harmful old news. He's lying about the harm anyway - he loves the attention, and even if it did make his mother sick he'd consider that a worthwhile sacrifice because he is a worthless person.

I hope his career dies, he goes broke and we never hear from him again, the utter, utter c**t. Rio Ferdinand is a Celebrity Big Brother standard of human being.

Bit harsh.

I like it.

Question: Did Ferdinand's ghost writer read the results of his labours back to him, or did they find someone else to read it out loud?

If JT is an idiot, then i dread to think what that makes Ferdinand.

Even QPR are too good for the prick.

I've only seen the headlines, and while I'm aware that quite often headlines are chosen by newspaper editors in order to be as hyperbolic as possible and can often misrepresent what has actually been said or written, in this case I really couldn't give a f**k. I don't care if he thinks JT's an idiot or not, because even by footballer standards he's a moron and his opinions couldn't possibly mean any less to me.

I will be watching the match later though and would love to see QPR get a hammering with Ferdinand being utterly humiliated.

This odious excuse for a human being has always tried to make more out of the entire episode than little Anton ever did. He is a snarling spitting scheming, generally rotten piece of humanity that should be flushed down a toilet into the sewers where he belongs. If my family underwent such stress and misery with the kind of threats being delivered that he describes, I would never in a million years want to drag it all out into the open again like this insect has !!!!

Repulsive..Imbecilic.Organism .

claiming the Chelsea captain "will always be the biggest idiot".

Sort of thing a 9 year old would say.

So far as I can tell, Ferdinand hasn't apologised to Cole for finding the choc ice insult hilarious and retweeting it to 50,000 people. If I were Cole, I wouldn't want to talk to him again either.

I always found it especially interesting that both Hodgson and Capello backed Terry and turfed out Ferdinand when it would have been a lot easier for them to do the opposite.

As I said in the JT thread, RF's claim that, if JT had owned up to saying the words and apologised while denying he was a racist, everything would have all died down and gone away and they would all have lived happily ever after, is complete bollocks.

The media and Kick It Out wanted blood. They created such a storm that the CPS felt compelled to prosecute him, before clearing him. And then the FA went after him as they didn't like the verdict.

The fact is JT always acknowledged using the words while denying he was a racist (which RF says was what he needed to do to put a lid on matters, as well as issuing an apology for, er,  not being racist).

No, what was really needed to put a lid on a nasty and divisive matter, was for Anton Ferdinand to react with dignity in the way Ashley Cole reacted when he was racially abused by Rio Ferdinand.

Ashley has no intention of making any sort of complaint. Ashley appreciates that tweeting is so quick it often results in off-hand and stray comments."

That was the way for Anton F to deal with the matter. AF could have said that he and JT had a heated exchange in a highly-charged local derby but that JT made no racial comments towards him. Nor had he ever done. He could have said that he wasn't going to kick up a fuss over incomplete video footage of JT apparently saying something noone heard.

He, his family and advisers chose a very different approach to Ashley Cole's way of dealing with RF's (unambiguously racist) tweet, with very ugly, divisive consequences for all concerned. What the hell were they hoping to achieve? And what is RF trying to achieve by dragging all this up again?

Oh, yes, a few book sales. Because I'm sure he needs the money.

So that makes it two Ferdinand brothers who try to use a race row to somehow revive/enhance their football careers.  Mate, Anton's career was ruined by his inability and the fact nobody knew of him as a footballer until said race row.

and remind me again, this was the race row where Anton, more than a half an hour later, had to clarify whether it had actually happened or not? So bad was the abuse and vile JT was spouting that Anton didn't even know anything about it. and correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Anton refuse to comment on the situation officially until a few weeks later....at the launch of a video game he was promoting, so serious was the issue to him.

Rio had no problem playing with Terry is asked too?  Can someone remind me, wasn't it widely reported that Rio was going to snub shaking JT's hand,...just for SAF to bench Rio for the situation never to unfold?  I wonder who was spreading that rumor so forcibly that every new section had it as a headliner.

As for life going through hell, isn't this the only situation in the BPL where a footballer has gone to a court of law?  Found not guilty too I might add, despite the unreal amount of video and audio at every BPL ground on match day.

Funny Rio doesn't bring up the time he had a mob Man U fans at his doorstep when there was rumors of him leaving, after his family receiving numerous death threats from MU ultra's.  He had to go out and physically confront them with a stick after calling the cops.  Think that'd of had a bit more stress associated than what he mentioned in this article.  Wonder why that isn't pertinent to the conversation about how football has made his family go through hell.....

He's badmouthing Moyes in this morning's extracts. Tacky as f**k. Here's hoping Moyes gets the Newcastle job and they demolish QPR

He was sh*t last season and he was sh*t yesterday. Capello dropped you, Hodgeson didn't pick you, you were crap under Moyes, you're crap under Redknapp. But hey, I'm sure it's all these managers that are the problem, not the fact that your fitness and performances have dropped off of a cliff.

Rio is such an arrogant c*** - I couldn't stand watching him as a pundit during the World Cup.

He's now had a pop at Moyes for not letting him eat chips before a game.

He is as thick as two short planks, duh !!!

His monotone, uneducated drab, was truly cringing to listen to in the WC.

The toilet is probably the most appropriate place to listen to him in, Coco!

What a prat... I had typed out a long post but you all know it.....so I deleted

Fortunately I don’t think anyone with half a brain is listening, it is only the paper who are printing this drivel who are excited about it .

This other excerpt from Rio's new book makes me laugh too, guy is so insecure it's hilarious. Try and read it with a straight face....

"Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has revealed that he struggled to make friends with rival players throughout his days at Old Trafford, reports The Sun.

The now QPR defender - who returned to the Theatre of Dreams for the first time this past weekend - has admitted that he's been unable to 'open up' with players that he's in direct competition with.

Ferdinand's revelations have come from his Autobiography, which is set to be released on October 2, where he's also revealed that he thought that the then Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and John Terry were 'fu**ing laughing' at him.

Terry, of course, is still at Chelsea, while Lampard is now plying his trade at Manchester City, and Ferdinand has insisted that his difficulties with rival players came from being obsessed with victory.

He said: "I struggled to make friends on other teams.

"I know other people manage to maintain friendships with rivals. Wayne Rooney is good mates with Joe Hart.

"But I don’t seem to be able to open up and be real pally with people I’m in direct competition with.

"I felt the tension with England together. If Chelsea had won the league or beaten us in the Cup, I’d be sat with Frank Lampard or John Terry and thinking, ‘Are they f***ing laughing at me?’

"It’s something they probably never felt at all.

"Perhaps it’s the dark side of being obsessed with winning – you don’t want to show any weakness."

Manchester United and Chelsea have been huge rivals for many years, with the two clubs both competing for the Premier League title on a consistent basis over the last decade.

However, the ex-Red Devils star now has different priorities at QPR, with the club looking to fight relegation this term after last year's promotion. The Hoops will be looking to bounce back this weekend after shipping four goals at Old Trafford against Manchester United on Sunday.

Ferdinand and Co. will return to Loftus Road this Saturday lunch time to take on Mark Hughes' inconsistent Stoke City team. Ferdinand's former team, Manchester United, meanwhile are also in action this weekend as they look to make it back-to-back victories with a win at the King Power stadium against Leicester City."

I think Ferdinand read Ferguson's book and has tried to top it by being controversial over everything in his own book. All he has done is confirmed what everyone thought of him, that he is an absolute prick.
