Defence as a whole played well, thought Luis the best of them. Courtois saved us a few times as well. I think Hazard just edges it though so I'll vote for him.

Hazard by an embarrassing degree.

We are completely reliant upon him from an attacking sense.

Oscar is playing really poorly, as he has done for large spells before.

Fabregas has gone completely off the boil, which is worrying because the criticisms at Arsenal and Barca were that he faded as the season approached the business end.

Cuadrado looks average so far, shown no quality whatsoever.

Hazard was on a completely different level to all the rest, as he so often has been for the last two years.

Our most important player by a country mile.

Edit: Without him we're f**ked, simple as.

I'm not sure what injury/personal problem has kept him out of the team recently, but surely the first half shows how influential he is in our attacking play? Thought he looked great, moved the ball quickly, rushed to hug the touchline when Hazard came inside... he didn't set the world alight, but I'd have to say we always look a better attacking unit with him in the side.

Two average performances. He's not shining as he was, but it's a bit knee-jerk to say he's completely off the boil.

He's only been at the club a few weeks? I'm not a huge fan, but he's clearly being tasked with supporting Ivanovic defenively, and keeping it simple in the final third.

Agree that Hazard is on a different level to the rest of our team. But he's pretty much on a different level to the rest of the league. It's been a few weeks since we've had our first choice front 5 (Costa, Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Fabregas) all fit & fresh together - and that game ended 5-0. We'll get there again.

I'm more of a lurker on these forums, and I usually agree with your comments, but I couldn't agree with a lot of the points in this assessment.

Fair enough mate.

I think Fabregas has been poor for a while now, the two Liverpool games for instance (edit: poor may be the wrong word, let's just say not nearly as effective).

Oscar? You may be right, we may be a better attacking side when he plays, but for me he's disappointing by and large, although he's capable of the sublime. I take on board his age and the fact he works hard, but this is his third season now and for me, he hasn't progressed as I would have liked.

Cuadrado? Yes it's early days, I can only comment on what I've seen. I'm not suggesting he's not a good player or not up to the task or anything, just that it's been an average first few games from him.

Hazard needs more help out there, especially with every game being massive from here on in.

I've said it for a while but if he gets injured that's our title's chances over as far as I'm concerned, he really is that important, and I think some of his teammates need to ponder on that a moment and step up.

Have to agree Davey. Of our attacking players, only Hazard has stepped up of late and he is only a completely different level right now.

The rest have been frankly average of late.

With Matic missing now, I really wish we had given Ake more chances as he's the player I would like to see alongside Fabregas whilst the big man is out.

By and large I agree with this Davey, although I think we should give Cuadrado a bit of time to settle before fully judging him  and I think Fabregas has only been poor for a couple matches.

I definitely agree with the Oscar part, for me we need a more creative number 10.

Positives : I thought Hazard mom, closely followed by Ivan. I also thought Luis had his best game so far and Zouma just looks so much more reliable than Cahill.

Oscar, Fab and Cuadrado, and Costa were a bit meh but not terrible. We certainly didn't get the rub today.

Good shout there - forgot about all of the clean tackles he made today & got the ball back. Also was good w/ ball possession too.

Hazard by some distance, thought Luis was very good, Oscar isn't anywhere near his best but I still feel we are a better team with him in it.

Fabregas is certainly not playing like he was hopefully nothing more than form and fitness levels but a worry being as he has a reputation of ending seasons poorly.

Cuadrado we have to give some time but up to now I must admit to feeling happier with Willian in the starting line up.

Likely wouldn't be having these doubts if it wasn't for the refereeing today so maybe it's better than we fear.

A year goes by and oh look our attack is not worth toffee again, bar Hazard that is. Need some players to step it up. We need to do so much better offensively against the likes of Burnley.

I voted Luis. His best game for us by a mile. He was pretty much perfect. If both Dave and Luis are fully fit I would like to see them start against Spurs next week. I think both will handle Kane better than Ivan.

Can't leave out Ivan on his current scoring form.

Hazard with Luis behind him.

Luis will find himself out the team for the final which is pretty unfair as he's always shown quality when given the chance but seems not to get a fair crack at LB IMO.

Hazard is our most dangerous option but we cannot rely on one single player to get us to where we are aiming to go.

Cesc, Oscar, Costa and Willian/Cuardrado need to start helping out and soon.

Costa has been very poor in the past two games, looks short of fitness and has the touch of a elephant.

Cesc as Davey says seems to be proving the 'second half of the season' claim to be true as he's like the invisable man just now.

Oscar doesn't do nearly enough to be a world class no 10 in a team like ours, he's hard working and some nice touches but he fizzles out and seems to flatter to decieve more often than not.

Willian needs more goals and assists, he's a £30 million player and doesn't hurt teams anywhere near what we should expect.

Cuardrado looks bang average so far but it's not even a month since he's signed so too soon to judge but again at £26 million you expect a impact.

I've voted Hazard but Luis played an outstanding match! I was very impressed by what I saw and I think he's started to adjust to that left-back spot and the pace of the English game now. Great to see him making some real progress and pushing his credentials as the number one left back for the team.

Eden was excellent as usual! Need I say more.
