Cuadrado - Chelsea's #23

Featured Replies

Damning indictment there I think. Why buy him and never play him/not trust him. He hasn't shown anything in his Chelsea career so far to suggest he's gonna stay around but he hasn't had the chance to show it yet.

I can't understand why we bought him if he isn't going play. He wasn't playing bad today, i don't understand why he was subbed off.

If there is so much wrong with him then why couldn't we see this before we signed him ? We may as well have keeped Schurrle for the rest of the season and then use the money more wisely in the summer.

He wasn't exactly playing well though. The move tended to break down every time he got involved.

We looked a whole lot better second half.

I thought he was pretty poor for most of the half but picked up a bit towards the end. Hopefully he plays most of our last few games.

I think we looked better in the 2nd half too, but i don't think it's because Cuadrado was removed. I think it was because we slowed the play down through the middle. Cuadrado was having a better game than Hazard, Willian and Drogba before he was subbed off. It just seemed really harsh.

If Mourinho shown the same faith in him as he does Drogba then you never know what will happen.

This guy is very shy and unstable mentally. He makes me feel uncomfortably when touches the ball.

This is not his potential for sure. I have watched him playing for Fiorentina many times. He is a great footballer.  Let's give him some time. Next year will be better.

Reminds me of Willian. It was the same story with his confidence in first matches.

Some of his attempted tackles looked rash to me.  Thankfully he was nowhere near the legs of the player he was trying to tackle, or it could have resulted in a yellow or red card.  I am not sure if that was a good thing since he appeared more aggressive, or a bad thing showing his lack of skill in trying to tackle an opponent.

He seems very un-calm, even a little stressed in my opinion. I'm certain he will improve once he's really settled in.

I hope he'll start our remaining games, along with Cech, Zouma and RLC.

Doesn't seem confident at all, I haven't seen him attack the defence once since he has arrived. He seems to simply just give the ball to someone else like a sidepass when an attack gets going.

His work rate was very good, positioning was on point, however his attack was really poor and he let the side down a lot in the first half. He has to be more efficient than that.

I thought he started brightly. He just wasn't able to do the defensive part of the game that Jose obviously wanted him to do. I think he needs more minutes and we will only know if he can become a regular in this squad next season.

I think he is trying just a bit too hard to impress, reminded me a bit of Schurrle today. After preseason I believe he will come good for us. Lets be patient guys.

Give him a start in the remaining games and try and build some form and confidence.

The attacking 4 looked unbalanced in the first half and Mikel's introduction made a lot of sense.

Still early days but I don't see the guy becoming a first team player personally.

I thought he did ok for the most part, although some of his challenges were rash to say the least.

Actually, I thought Mikel coming on was simply to wrap up the game and I don't think we were any better in the second half - in fact, if you look at Willian as our best player I felt he was stifled in the second half due to Mikel slowing the play down too much.

I was one of the first to right this guy off and I don't see anything to change my mind, though I don't read anything other than the above into the substitution.

I thought he was good in the first half, fast and direct, probably not on the same wave length as his mates. This could only be solved by more playing time. With Ivanoic on a yellow, it was a matter of time before Mikel was on, I thought he was on a bit early. I hope Currado get 3 starts, we should be playing with a lots of freedom now.

In every game he's played, the passes he's been getting have been behind him.

I don't think he's making bad runs, but he does need to slow play down. I think he did a better job of that today, but still needs to work on his link up play a bit more. He's got the agility, the speed, and  the skill to survive in this league. He does not shy away from physicality either. He just needs to play smarter.

I'm not going to sour on him unless he flops next season. He should be a ready player now, so we'll see how it goes next season.
