Drogba's Last Game

Featured Replies

It's not often a 37 year old can make the impact he has this season, despite not playing much he really did a good job, and when the pace of the league sometimes caught up with him we could never fault him for not trying. Legend

I'd like to think he'd become one of Jose's assistants but I believe the far more likely path he'll take is back in his home land where he can make a lot of positive difference with his profile and influence.

He's said he doesn't want to retire yet so wherever the rest of his playing career and afterwards takes him, he'll always be a Chelsea legend.

One of the greatest players ever to grace our club.

This is the man who gave us one of the best nights of our lives, calmly slotting away that penalty to stick it to the Germans in their own back yard.

Legend.

It's quite fitting that the two biggest heroes of Munich are saying farewell together. What a send off they deserve. We wouldn't have won the Champions League without either of them.

Chelsea legends. Thank you Didier and Big Pete!

He wants to play another season at a different club. Wonder who?

Someone above mentioned NYCFC.

Amazing if the foundation of Man City's MLS franchise was two Chelsea legends. Sums up their club.

Good luck Dids, what a man.

Probably has a war to stop, a hospital to build, a multi star studded charity event to host or something.

Doesn't NYCFC already have David Villa? That would be a hell of a team but surely salary cap prevents all 3 of them playing together.

Love you Dids. As Alan Greene said...always the big man for the big occasion, lost count the amount of cup final and cup semi final goals he has scored.

An all time great, not just for us, but the Premier league too.

Let's hope he's on the coaching staff as soon as he retires.

What was the point of bringing him back for one year if he's going to leave again? I thought the plan was to play one more year and then become an assistant.

The rumour I referred to stated NYC was keen to replicate the Chelsea Lampard Drogba thing, but who knows with rumours.

Didier Drogba - He's played a huge part in the recent history of Chelsea FC and it's been a privilege to watch him play for us. His part in our many successes will be remembered for decades. I hope he maintains a long association with the club, he is a wonderful ambassador for us and recognised across the world.

Good luck Didier

That may have been the Shed End Forum's plan, I don't recall reading that as the club's and Drogba's plan. I could be mistaken, though,
