I came on here to say the same thing! That 'famous Anfield crowd' is failing to drown out the sound of the photographer's cameras.

In today's episode of Strange But True:

Manchester City have been reported to Uefa after fans were heard booing the Champions League anthem before their win 2-1 over Sevilla on Wednesday.
Match delegate Geir Thorsteinsson, the chairman of the Iceland FA, detailed the incident and disciplinary proceedings have now been opened, with the case set to be heard in November.

Bets on City getting a bigger punishment for this than Dynamo Kiev get for racist crowd trouble in our game against them?

That is ridiculous, they surely cannot be charged for that. The Champions League anthem is just a silly little song, it holds no real meaning to anything.

and they boo'd because A) it is a protest against Michel Platini's role in the FIFA corruption scandal or B) they hate playing in Europe because they keep on screwing it up

I think City fans do it because of the harsh FFP sanctions UEFA gave them and the virtual let off CSKA Moscow got despite their fans directing monkey chants at Toure.

How booing is now worthy of a disciplinary investigation is anyone's guess though, up there with Jose being charged for sarcasm.

It's definitely leaning more towards B but I agree with FC that it's also to do with FFP.

Also agree with FC that been punished for it is a f**king joke. How can you be punished for booing the bloody CL theme? It's not like it's a national anthem.

It's probably B) and the FFP saction together. Which wasn't harsh as I see it, just a big fine, no suspension or ban from the CL.

Restricted their spending to only £50m and reduced their squad size in the Champions League.

Had a massive impact on their season and greatly benefitted ourselves.

I like how they bring up that Cole testified for JT, but don't mention that camel face got done for racist abuse towards Cole.

I don't think it gets brought up enough that Ashley Cole gets a £90,000 for calling the FA a bunch of twat but Rio only got £10,000 for racially abusing anotherprofessional.

Essentially insulting the FA is worse than racism.... well, to the FA

We lost and Arsenal is leading 2-0 now. What a great way to start the weekend.

Time to drown myself in beer.

As much as I hate to say it. Arsenal are a joy to watch.

Rafa & Wenger winning league titles this season is a real possibility
