Oscar was our best player. 

ehh Hazard was easily the man driving us forward after the sending off, prior to that it was an all-around good team performance where i'd perhaps give the edge to Willian, however he was at fault for playing Gomis onside and essentially costing us 2 points.

 

Actually going to go with Begovic, made quite a few good saves. Hazard a close 2nd but I don't think he was quite at his best today in terms of sharpness, the effort was certainly there but a few times he got to the edge of the box and stopped and went backwards when we needed to move quicker.

 

edit: Oscar also played well, I wonder if perhaps we should have taken off Fabregas for Begovic instead of Oscar, hindsight and all..

Probably a harder decision than Sophie's Choice. Went for Costa purely because of how much more of a threat he looked today than Remy/Falcao did all pre season.

 

He also threw his weight around which was fun.

 

Hazard great in the last 15 but totally anonymous before then.

Oscar takes it easily for me, he was terrific. 9/10 before being subbed off.

Eden turned it on for the last 15 mins but as I said in the match thread, I didn't think he was as influential before that.

I thought GC was MOTM even though we gave up two goals - For a minute I thought he scored the first one - unlucky when he slipped on that perfect ball at the edge of the Swansea City box in the first half - if you wonder why I voted GC, it's because I love him

Do not understand how someone could vote for Willian. Simply do not - it was his crimial defending that cost us the game and even without that, he was indecisive and ponderous in possession and didn't track back for their first goal.

Willian wasnt great. How many times did he get into a wide area only to stop the ball dead, let every get back position and then fail to get the ball in the box anyway.

He was also at fault for the sending off as he played go missing on by about 5 yards.

Motm had to be oscar.

Hazard did nothing for 70 minutes.

Fabregas took too long in the ball in key areas.

Ivanovic got destroyed by montero.

Poor team performance in which swansea were unlucky to be behind even before the red.

Oscar for me easily

hazard is the jewel but for me its fabregas who makes us tick. When he is not at his best it really shows in our overall team performance. He was not at his best today and probably hasn't been for a while. Oscar for the first time in his chelsea career is actually starting to look like a man now. I'm actually surprised none of our managers have ever loaned him off to some grim 1st division club to toughen him up abit. Maybe too big of an investment I suppose but it would of done him good im sure.

There is no doubt we should have subbed of cesc rather than oscar. Jose messed up on that one as badly as willian did for playing gomis onside.

Brana and cesc were liabilities, Costa offered zero threat and hazard was well off the pace.

Only pluses, player performance wise, imo were begovic, matic and oscar. Dave, jt and cahill were decent but not at there best.

Oscar, and Begovic made some good saves at the right time.

Diego had a few good spells, just wish he'd get physical at the right times, like when he's muscled off the ball, he could be harder and stay up occasionally

Oscar, must have been amazed he was the one chosen to make way, Fabregas as good as he can be is a waste of a place when he's not on it, wiating for the one great pass that sets up a goal can be really costly.
