August 26, 20169 yr Starting to doubt that he does have a say, with all the untouchables from last season still untouchable then it is a shame :/
August 30, 20169 yr Kenedy is now off too, going to Watford on loan. So many going out, not enough coming in.
August 30, 20169 yr on a positive note, maybe mazzari could mold him into a solid left wing back surely he can beat holebas for the starting position Edited August 30, 20169 yr by havelschayes
August 30, 20169 yr I think this one is good for all involved. a season playing as a wingback is only going to help him.
August 30, 20169 yr I like loaning to PL clubs, relevant experience, can keep a close eye on them and can't play against us, wish we could do more of this
August 31, 20169 yr I hope Kennedy is used well by that team and he is able to find great form there.
August 31, 20169 yr Good move, he may just nail down that left wing back spot in 352. I think sending players overseas is just a waste of time, other leagues just don't have the intensity and physicality of the EPL.
August 31, 20169 yr I'm quite happy with this move for him, provided they actually play him though! It will be good to see how he develops for them & brilliant if he gets to play regularly!

This is what the loan system should be for - good young players gaining experience. The same move worked well for Ake last season (although the downside is the club seemed to have ignored how well that went and thought they'd send him on loan again somewhere else. I wonder whose turn it will be to have Ake next season?). Anyway, I like what I've seen from Kenendy and if he can hold down a place and develop we will hopefully benefit in the long run. I do expect him to pick up at least one red card though - he does seem to have a bit of a nasty streak in him which he will need to try and curb.
August 31, 20169 yr I liked watching Kenedy. One of the few bright spots last season. He was a right winger, if I recall, so not sure why he has become a defender/wingback since joining. His talents clearly lie in his pace, dribbling shooting, etc. Exciting player to watch. Would have preferred him staying if the wing positions weren't so full. He could probably even have played as a forward.

August 31, 20169 yr Hope he gets plenty of game time. He is actually my favorite player now, won't be getting this years home kit anymore as I wanted him on the back
August 31, 20169 yr He has competition for the spot. So far Mazzarri has been going with Holebas (who, from what I can gather, fell out with Flores quite significantly last season after losing his place to Aké and hardly featured for most of the first half of the season) and Zuniga (who I don't know particularly well but vaguely remember from Napoli). Edit: By the looks of things Watford have never actually won a match Holebas started since he signed. Edited August 31, 20169 yr by PloKoon13 Looked at some performance data

September 18, 20169 yr Honestly missed the moment Kenedy was loaned out to Watford. Was surprised to see him on the Watford bench today.
September 19, 20169 yr Was just about to ask what was going on with Kenedy, his social activity has not included anything about Watford. Glad he was in the matchday squad, hopefully gets a chance soon.
October 17, 20169 yr Do you think he would do well in this 3-4-3 system? He'd be more offensive as a wing back than Alonso, so maybe an option for when we are playing against teams we expect to do less damage on the attack?

Admittedly he is young and raw and at the moment, can't even get in Watford's side, but I'd like to think long-term, he could make that place his. He certainly has the skil and pace, just needs to add a bit of defensive experience and discipline to his game.
October 17, 20169 yr I have watched Kenedy play for Watford in their away lose to Burnley - it seemed that he was playing more of a Attacking Midfield role, because of his excellent ball handling skills - that has been his only appearance for Watford
