Kenedy officially signs for Chelsea

I like loaning to PL clubs, relevant experience, can keep a close eye on them and can't play against us, wish we could do more of this

Yeah me too. This is what the loan system should be for - good young players gaining experience. The same move worked well for Ake last season (although the downside is the club seemed to have ignored how well that went and thought they'd send him on loan again somewhere else. I wonder whose turn it will be to have Ake next season?).

Anyway, I like what I've seen from Kenendy and if he can hold down a place and develop we will hopefully benefit in the long run. I do expect him to pick up at least one red card though - he does seem to have a bit of a nasty streak in him which he will need to try and curb.

I liked watching Kenedy. One of the few bright spots last season. He was a right winger, if I recall, so not sure why he has become a defender/wingback since joining.

His talents clearly lie in his pace, dribbling shooting, etc. Exciting player to watch.

Would have preferred him staying if the wing positions weren't so full. He could probably even have played as a forward.

No mate, he was on the Left Flank - remember that nice goal vs Norwich last season. Maybe this will boot start your synapses

Prior to joining Chelsea. And that was a brilliant goal which I remember perfectly well, thanks!

He has competition for the spot. So far Mazzarri has been going with Holebas (who, from what I can gather, fell out with Flores quite significantly last season after losing his place to Aké and hardly featured for most of the first half of the season) and Zuniga (who I don't know particularly well but vaguely remember from Napoli).

Edit: By the looks of things Watford have never actually won a match Holebas started since he signed.

if Holebas loses his spot to Ake and then Kenedy, he will truly hate Chelsea

don't you remember that Zuniga was arch-enemy #1 during the 2014 World Cup? It was him that challenged Neymar & broke his back

Was just about to ask what was going on with Kenedy, his social activity has not included anything about Watford.  Glad he was in the matchday squad, hopefully gets a chance soon.

Do you think he would do well in this 3-4-3 system? He'd be more offensive as a wing back than Alonso, so maybe an option for when we are playing against teams we expect to do less damage on the attack?

YES!

Admittedly he is young and raw and at the moment, can't even get in Watford's side, but I'd like to think long-term, he could make that place his. He certainly has the skil and pace, just needs to add a bit of defensive experience and discipline to his game.

I have watched Kenedy play for Watford in their away lose to Burnley - it seemed that he was playing more of a Attacking Midfield role, because of his excellent ball handling skills - that has been his only appearance for Watford
