Replacing Kante with Ampadu would be insane. I think its important to supplement youth with quality world class players.

As good as Ampadu has looked, he is still to get going at leipzig yet, he would need sn astronomical season for the club to take that decision with the market being open.

I also can't see Kante being sold, how msny teams would pay the fee we would want for a 29 year old, with no real marketing pull. He is on massive wages with 4 years left on his current deal. Just doesnt really seem a likely thing to happen as things stand.

Madrid and PSG. Probably Utd too but we wouldn't sell a peak player to them, just duds.

A few games ago he looked like our weakest link.

When was that ? He's started 4 games for us and scored in all but one of them,so that seems a bit strange you saying he looked like the weakest link, most of us would say that would be probably Zouma, Alonso, Michy, even Kepa could be considered for the accolade as hes been a bit crap to be honest. But Abraham has never looked anywhere close to our weakest link.

PSG maybe if they sold neymar or mbappe, Madrid wont pay £100m for him, they want another galactico attacker, and they are more likely to spunk big money on pogba imo.

No chance we would sell to united, and i doubt kante would want to go there anyway.

The Great DD is not surprised of how Tammy Abraham has developed

He doesn't half look different with no barnet, remember those locks he used to have when we first bought him....

Klopp reckons Tammy is a £60m player. Do you agree with that? Seems abit high but potentially could be if he continues.

Just going to pose this question myself.

I'd say absolutely IF it was an English club buying. It's a bit high, you'd never imagine Juventus coming in for him with that number right now.

More importantly would you sell him for that? I'd have to think about it for half a second before I'd say no.

Giving myself a pat on back for saying at start of season that Tammy was the only one of the strikers with the potential or x factor to really improve.

The goals he's scored are fantastic but there will surely be barren patches and good defences will require a still higher standard and just as its wrong to be too negative so its sensible not to get too carried away by a hatrick.

What i like, apart from the goals, is his back to goal play. He is actually pretty good at getting control from a  pass out of defence, holding the ball up and bringing others in.

Also he does the defending bit quite well at both ends. Finally he is reasonably pacy, something we haven't really had in a striker for years.

It will be nice if CHO lives up to his reputation and can act as a foil.

Tomorrow will be a step-up in opposition, it would be good if he can personally hit the target playing against the likes of Van Dijk.

Thought he played well. Can't complain that he didn't score as came close a couple of times and some great runs.

Great that you are not complaining, however, the reality is that our finishing today lost us the game. With 2 very good chances, including one 1v1 with the keeper, Tammy was more guilty than most for us losing today.

He has to be more clinical than he was today.  We have to be more clinical than we were today.

Not seen it but sounds like his one on one he needed to be more aware and pass it to Mount.

If is the case I based Willian against Valencia for doing the same then Tammy deserves the same stick for it.

No matter who you are if a team mate is in a better position you should put your team first.

He could have squared it, but it wasnt a guarenteed tap in for mount with trent recoving, and it wasnt the easiest ball either imo, it needed to be weighted perfect because theres no way mount couldve taken a touch.

I dont really have an issue with him being a little greedy in that situation. It was just a really poor finish, he just hit it straight at the keeper, from a better angle than what he tucked his 3rd in at wolves last week.

Then he had a header i felt he couldve done more with.

He is young and he has already shown he can bounce back strongly from set backs, so im sure he will learn from this.

And he really should take the positives, his running was fantastic, he did get chances and he clearly worked very hard up against two of the best centre backs in the game.

Disappointing day for Tammy with his big chance he hit it well and on target just that the keeper read it, he did seem to be outmuscled a bit in the air and I expect this might happen from time to time yet if he is productive in other matches that is more important than the odd match like today.

At his age and his first serious season in the Premiership he will be on a learning curve for a while yet.

I can't help but think if we had a Drogba or Costa the outcome of the match would have been different.

Tammy is not there yet but he can get there by learning from today that chances like his changes games being clinical is a must

The Mount pass wasn't as simple as it looked in real time, and the issue is, had Tammy tried to pass and it didn't work, we'd be saying he doesn't have the killer mentality.  I'm glad he tried to take his chance, just wish he'd done better with it
